I'm guessing it's an initiative to increase cable and phone packages. As is everything that Rogers does.

Every time i try to use the split screen feature, it ends up redirecting me to the page of the game i try to select in the second screen. Anyone know to fix this?

Xbox app is definitely a step down now.

Old version would begin at the start of the game even if you came in the middle or almost at the end.

You also can't rewind or fast forward on this version.

I bought the $99 US version last year and renewed this year.

It has worked perfectly on my iPad this year (my first login was from out of the country though so I don't know if that played a factor.)

When I got home I tried to login on my PS3 and was unsuccessful (ipad was still fine).

I tried this trick from the internets and it worked for me:
Delete the application
Create a new US based playstation account
Login with the new account and install the GC app again
Login to GC
Log out, login with your usual account and I was able to login to GC fine

Seems silly there would be a difference but that worked for me and others. Perhaps the Xboxers out there will have similar luck.

I have nothing special running at home, everything is vanilla.

When I log in on my pc, I'm asked to choose a game. After I do, it takes me to a game stats screen, where I click "watch". It then sends me back to the "choose game" option and this just repeats over and over.

Ya, Mine has worked since day one perfectly.

The app as a whole is a step down compared to years past.

Can not start the game from beginning, have to exit feed to switch between home and away, no rewind or fast forward.

It's disappointing.

Was watching the game fine in the first, now it's blacked out in the second. Can I not switch feeds on Xbone? Because the Calgary feed was fine, switched games during intermission now I can't watch the game again.

Guess I'll try the PC..

Edit: I was watching the Calgary feed in the first, now I can't in the second. It works on the PC but not my phone or Xbox

Can't use a VPN with the Rogers credentials, it won't work or at least not consistently. Kill the VPN and all works well. The apps suck ass though, all the above mentioned issues, just bush league. And turn off the damn ticker! I don't want to see updates in game to one I haven't watched yet. Should be common sense I would think.

Yep this is what I was complaining about the other day, and its back again for me. Can't use split or quad view. The 2nd I choose another game to add it just opens the preview page for that game instead.

I spoke to technical support, and they said its a known issue that they are working on...

Knowing Rogers, that means they know but don't care.

I am about to buy NHL GameCentre Live and just want to make sure I will not be blacked out this year. Can anyone confirm this? I live in Calgary and want to watch Flames games. Last year I bought a subscription and was blacked out of the hometown market games.

same issue with me. i have given up and just have to use the ipad.

Do you have a VPN active? I couldn't get game centre through Rogers to work, same thing you describe, until I turned of the DNS settings on the router.

For the Flames it states All 82 games (35 of these will require a SN TV subscription with a participating TV provider* from January 1, 2015)

Home feeds usually get the benifiet of commercials and intermissions.

From my experiences so far have been, With a DNS service on I have not been able to get certain feeds.

If I have set it to Canada I have been able to watch the Calgary away feeds .Commercial and Intermissions. I have not been able to watch the Home feeds If it is on Nationally in Canada.

Its much more complicated than years past. Sometimes I need a DNS, sometimes It works against me. The DNS at times block certain feeds. If Its setup to the USA it will only let me watch the American feed. Sometimes I get both.

I don't know why It is doing this tho. A DNS service does not change your Geo location tag . It merely supplies you with DNS codes.
