Feels like this season is really about closing the show and they're kind of throwing together a story to do so.
Kill off a few characters, speed up the power gain of others and skip a lot of in between.
Not great, but I'll watch it out at this point.

Keep in mind they also went with the 8 episode format for the final season, they will be jamming a lot into those 7.5 hours worth of TV.

I've really liked the season so far. I felt the show was getting pretty stale, so the time jump really helps. The Luciano/Lansky rise and Commission creation was the most interesting potential story out of all the characters anyways, so I'm glad they're giving it some time.

Also, Pryzbylewski as Elliot Ness gave me a chuckle.

Pretty good episode tonight ... long time cast members going down.

ALL ABOARD!

With only 2 episodes left, it had to start happening. Two of the best, if not the best, characters on the show went down. In my opinion they had the most interesting story lines throughout the series as well.

Hmmm....well. The final 2 episodes should be...interesting.
A little confused about the Chalky/Narcisse interaction, might have to re-watch that episode to get exactly what the hell just happened there.

He gave himself up to give the girl her life back. He likely knew, correctly, that Narcisse wasn't just going to let it go.

Ya, but Narcisse and he talked about a partnership. Did Narcisse go back on his word, or am I missing something?

I'm not entirely sure what I'm supposed to be watching for any more. I don't care about anyone who's left.

Ah, that makes a little more sense. That's what I thought he was doing. Problem was that until this morning I had no clue who she was (but I remember now).

I have to assume that Chalky knew what was going to happen. Looks like he gave up his need for revenge and decided to save a life (2 when you consider the little girl) in the name of his daughter rather than take one.

Yeah, the whole this was a bit of a mess. There wasn't enough there...

If you don't care how Nucky's story ends, I'm not sure why you were still watching last episode.

I've said it before but this show really needs (or needed I guess now that its over) a quick 2 minute recap at the start of each episode, or at least at the start of a new season.
There are so many story lines I find it hard to keep them all straight. Often wondering WTF is going on haha.

There's only one way this can end, I'm just curious to see how they execute it.

Nary a mention of the season's most unknown character? The kid that begged Mickey Doyle for a job when he was choosing from the homeless guys to load trucks? The two theories out there are it's either Nucky's son with Maybel (hence the flashbacks) or it's Jimmy's son (and he's either there unknowingly or there to get revenge on Nucky). Frankly I'm not sure either is possible but it being Tommy Darmody makes more sense. Either way I expect he's going to play a fairly large role in the last two episodes.

I figured this kid was gonna play a big role, but hadn't thought of the Tommy Darmody possibility. I keep forgetting how many years forward they went and something like that could actually make some sense now.

7 years ahead, so yeah it would put Tommy Darmody at around 17/18.

How could play a part though? Does he even know his real identity? Gillian has been locked up for years, he was whisked away from his old life by Richard's friend and father. Would he even have a bone to pick with Nucky at this point?
