Yeah, I agree and think that's why less physically developed players choose the college route so they can gain muscle.

Being that he's enrolled in a college, and presumably has a course load, I suppose that might take up a lot of time during the week. Just a theory I'm working on, mind you.

I don't think anybody is saying a college player will get to train all day but his chances to put on muscle are better with the reduced schedule, and access to facilities and trainers than in junior hockey.

Some guys have a big frame but struggle to put on muscle - particularly in their late teens and early 20s. Some of this could simply be genetics.

Oh no! The 200 Club is a lie. He's only at 196 lbs.

Jankowski, a junior who was Calgary’s first-round draft pick in 2012, is up to 196 pounds, an increase of 25 pounds since his freshman year. “He’s a guy that everyone knew was going to take some time. He’s right where you want him to be,” said Leaman.

I never said that wasn't the case. I've been mostly skinny my whole life so I understand the problem. When I did put on weight though it was muscle. The point is, that college probably gives a player a better chance to physically grow than junior hockey does or is everybody here ......

Wouldn't that (a lot of time during the week) depend on how many courses he's taking and what those courses are?
Now its been a long time since I was in college but IIRC some courses required a lot more work to pass than others and I definitely had more time on my hands if I didn't have a full course load. Did Jankowski not return to Providence this summer to take some courses? I may be wrong but that suggests to me that he may not be taking a full course load during hockey season.... just a theory I'm working on, mind you.

Anyone know if his wingers are the top wingers on the team, or did they just note the lines randomly? Searched forever for a depth chart after seeing this, or a box score showing TOI, but couldn't find one for either.
On a sidenote, it seemed from the previews published online that John Gilmour is playing on the top pairing. Hope that is true.

Yes, Saracino and Luke are their top wingers. Last season's five highest point producers were Mauermann, Saracino, Jankowski, Acciari, and Luke. I believe that they generally played on Mauermann's wing at even strength last season.
Rufo is a sophomore who only played 8 games last year, and Pinho is a freshman. They may have wanted to put the young guys with the more experienced Mauermann, but it also gives Jankowski better wingers than he had last season.
Gilmour is apparently still nursing an injury sustained at the Flames rookie camp in July, so he didn't play on Friday, but he should be one of their top defencemen when he's back in the lineup. He gets a lot of PP time.
