Well, they've talked a lot about how hard Hartley drives them in the training camp...

The only thing making this not feel completely horrible, other than the fact it's amazingly still tied, is looking up at the ticker and seeing the COL score.

I am scared if we draft McDavid he'll have to "earn" ice time and spend time on the third line and get defensive zone starts.

Is it just me? In preseason the youngsters could pass the puck, now the vets arrive and cant make a decent pass.
Gio, Brodie, Ramo, are playing really well. I am also impressed with Engelland. He seems to hit everything. Seems to be the only one using the body.
Where is Bollig? Stajan? Jones, Raymond. Rookies were ready to go out of camp, vets look like they need a month more to be ready.

I don't think Colborne is a good fit with Gaudreau. Hartley should try him with Monahan.

This was pretty much as bad of Flames hockey as I've seen since the dive after wondernut Burke canned Feaster last season.

Jones has already been scratched what does sending him down do? besides they can't send him down

Shocking that the regular season might prove to be tougher than the pre season.

Colborne and Gaudreau seem to like to be in the same areas in the offensive zone so it looks a bit off right now. Needs more time to develop chemistry or you can always to find chemistry by mixing the lines a bit more.

They can send anyone down, they just have to clear...
What's the worst that happens? We lose him?

Love the 50 ft glide to the bench on one skate after a 30 second shift of floating around.
That said, 90% of the team looks awful. Early season conditioning on back to back nights is a factor, but this kind of crap seems to be an ongoing trend with Glencross.

I know this is delayed but it makes me so angry to watch him float to the bench for a line change. He should be skating hard to get there so that the next guy can get on - this lazy gliding crap essentially removes a player from the play until he gets himself to the bench. Ugh.

I'd actually pair Backlund with Gaudreau. It's such a bummer Bennett couldn't stick around with that whole surgery thing and all.
