Well they got out of that period with the lead but they need to settle down here and get back to basics. Maybe get back to dump and chase seeing they can't make a pass in the offensive zone to save their lives unless it's from behind the goal line.

I freaking hate the drop pass so much. Honestly, it should be proclaimed banned by the coaches. It is way too high-risk and rarely actually becomes something positive.

Play down low and the Oilers defensive coverage will fall apart.

Get into a drop-passing, end to end, transitional game, and their forwards will be interested enough to remain engaged.

Agree they need to simplify their play.
Those drop passes just inside the blue line have GOT to stop. The Oilers are reading it and picking them off now.

Tuned in ten minutes in, liked the score. Watched ten minutes of hockey, didn't like anything I saw except the goaltending.

Without everyone jumping all over me and bashing me, I just want to say that the Flames are really really small and weak. All this talk of heavy hockey and truculence contradicts what we are seeing on the ice. Russell, Byron, Johnny, Stajan, Raymond, etc...All good players and good people, but really small and weak.

Oh and David Jones really sucks. Get him out of here and get Seto in.
