Tyler Wotherspoon has been assigned to the Flames.
And yes, far as I know Carr was signed to a one year AHL contract. Although while doing a little research, it looks like he might have signed that with Abbotsford. If Abbotsford is no longer in existence, perhaps that means his contract isn't as well since it was AHL only. Looking through the Flames site, they make no mention of him being signed.
Do you think Baertschi-Granlund-Poirier get a chance to play together and become our first line once Poirier gets healthy.....does any with knowledge is in the loop if the coaching staff might consider playing them together or did in the playoffs last year.

It's a whole new coaching staff so it's tough to say who they'll put together. If they look at the past, clearly Reinhart-Granlund-Poirier had something.
Every time I saw Baertschi paired with Granlund, it just didn't seem to work for whatever reasons. Baertschi worked well alongside assist machine Corey Locke, so maybe if he's put with another playmaker he'll do well. Who knows?
Ferland and Knight had some chemistry, so maybe Baertschi can slot in on the left of those two?
I'm excited to see the line combos Huska puts together for Friday.

It seems redundant to have both Gillies and Yonkman on the team. I'm sure they won't be playing top minutes, but will be disappointed if they get minutes over almost anyone else on that roster whose healthy.

I'll have to disagree somewhat. Gillies is a one-dimentional goon whereas Yonkman has actually carved himself a nice long AHL career because he's decent on the blueline. The face punching is secondary for Yonkman and primary for Gillies.
I'd be okay with Yonkman eating up minutes and slotting, say, Culkin in slowly until he shows he fully understands things.
However, chances are Yonkman will play quite a few games because I would put money on him being named captain. Like in years past where Quintin Laing probably shouldn't have been in the lineup, but was because he was the captain.

The Flames will be connecting Glens Falls history to their mascot this afternoon.....Stay tuned for more information throughout the day.
I believe that might imply we are getting Dax. Something was written earlier after the announcement of the Flames moving to Glen Falls that the Phantoms were going to make Dax available for the team to use if they so wanted.

This is what Dax looks like:
Not intimidating at all... which is good.
