Jonas Hiller will get the start in the home opener. Karri Ramo will start on Thursday in Edmonton.

I imagine these lines will only last for a few shifts until Hartley starts moving people around.
By the end of the game Gaudreau will be on the top line with 2 goals and 1 assist.

I don't like this. I know Hiller is the new shiny UFA signing, but Ramo definitely outplayed him in pre-season...

Nothing personal, but I am going to save this quote.
I think Bouma has 10 goals in him with hard work not luck.
With luck I think he will get 15.

I really haven't seen any Chemistry at all between Colborne & Gaudreau in preseason. Here's hoping they can put something together tomorrow

Rammo will emerge from the 6 game road trip as our #1 goalie. Someone can put that on their signature.

That is how I ran things in NHL 15. Here's what happened, because I know you all care.
The Flames led Vancouver 3-2 into the 3rd and then Hiller blew up, 5-3 loss to Vancouver.
Ramo started game 2. The Flames scored early and often and by the time the 3rd started it was 7-0 Flames and the only thing to be determined was if Ramo would get a shut-out...Joensuu(sp?) from Gazdic (ugh) broke that up. 8-1 final over an OIler team that true to form, is Swiss cheese defensively in the game. Fasth overcommitted to many shots and let in the first 6 before getting yanked.
Ramo got the next start, 3-0 loss to St. Louis, played well, but I stuck with the play until you lose rotation.
Hiller drew back in agianst Nashville and was good in a 5-3 win.
That is as far as I got as I only started last night. Hiller gets the next start.

Thank god you're not the coach. Stajan is better than Bouma at centre and Colborne is better than Bouma at centre. Why be like Brent Sutter and try to fit a square peg in a round hole? It's all about balance.....unless you're suggesting we tank?

Loubardis just mentioned on the Fan 960 that Gaudreau has been practicing on the 1st PP unit.
and Steinberg says Hartley confirmed that the lines at practice today will be the lines tomorrow.

Kind of surprised Hiller is getting the start but I don't think it's indicative of who they think their #1 guy is. Obviously they were going to split the back-to-back games to start the season, and I suspect they will split the first 20 games fairly evenly. Much too early to say he's their guy.
Ramo outplayed Hiller but Hiller wasn't terrible in the preseason, so I can't be too upset at that. It will be an interesting battle in the net this year.
