I think I'd honestly be happier with the second overall pick because I'd hate to not pick one of these guys. If someone else makes the choice for us it would be a lot easier lol. Both McDavid and Eichel look amazing...

Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie
Jack Eichel picks up five assists in his first college game, as BU beats St. Thomas (N.B.) 12-1 in a Can-Am university exhibition tilt.

@TSNBobMcKenzie: Connor McDavid scores 2G/2A in ERI 7-3 W over SAR. ERI trailed 3-1. McDavid scored 1st Otter goal. Erie scores 6 straight, incl 1-2 for McD.

McDavid with 12 pts in 4 games to start the season.

Dylan Strome (same team as McDavid) has 13 points in 4 games so far.

McDavid looks remarkably similar to Crosby.

Worth noting that St.Thomas is a terrible CIS hockey team. So not really the biggest challenge Eichel's ever had.

If anything I'd say that points to McDavid's effect on players.

Strome (who is a good prospect) had 39 points in 60 games last year. Now he plays with McDavid and is putting up 3.25 PPG.

Same thing happened last year when Connor Brown and Dane Fox suddenly became phenoms.

Mcdavid and strome don't play on the same lines, just together on the top pp unit. If I remember correctly mcdavid didn't play much with fox and brown.

I don't see any point in putting much stock in lopsided games like this.

That has to be highest ranking ever for a Dutch born and raised player. I always think it is interesting when players from non traditional hockey countries do well.

Lose/lose situation for Oilers management.

They use a high (assuming) second round pick on him and get the wrath of fans for wasting a second on a player they should've already had.
Or, they risk him getting picked up by another team and get fans angry for letting him get away and rip it up for another team.

LOVE IT.
