That's a steal of a deal for the Stars.

Nill has been outstanding in his short time in Dallas so far.

Hah Stars managed to keep this quiet. If Dillon knew about this he could have probably leveraged a bit more money.

Mark Stepneski @StarsInsideEdge
Sergei Gonchar out 3-5 weeks with fracture in ankle according to Jim Nill.

17 points, +9 and 21 minutes a night and they're weren't willing to give him $1.9 mill? He's arguably their best dman and paid as 4th highest.

The Stars played hardball with him, hope he doesn't forget and sticks it to them when its his turn.

One thing to be a tough GM but pay the guys that deserve.

With those terms flying around I'm surprised there were no offer sheets.

Dillon was outstanding when I watched him last year. Big, mobile, physical, smart and skillful.

Great deal for the Stars (for this year)

Dillon is going to look for a big raise next summer.

thats the big thing, it's a year deal, I could easily see him making 3+ on his next deal

in which case Nill doesn't look good turning down 1.9 over 2 years
