Your progress is cookie based and you actually earn gold faster if you close the browser window FYI. I only ever check it a few times a day to buy whatever upgrades I can then close the window

I waited to ascend till I got about 10 soul stones/gems/whatever for doing so. Leveling up the low guys helps get more. Next time around I "cleared" the board much faster, in a matter of hours, reset again, 3rd time faster, then I quit.

I reset and am playing it this time trying to take each character to 199 levels without using any of the upgrades. It's taking longer, but I have to admit i'm enjoying watching the incremental growth.

I totally don't know how the whole ascension part works.

I'm on Level 84 and I think I have 2 souls available? It says 0.Hero Souls Ascend for +2.

When you ascend, you result the game (except for certain things) and start at beginning again. The Hero Souls allow you to purchase things which make the next time you level up much easier

yes, when you reset the souls give you a +10% DPS / soul. You can also spend souls on summoning Ancients which will give you added bonuses. I have an ancient that gives +20% chance to treasure chests appearing and one that gives treasure chests +100% health (double the treasure), as well as 2 other ancients that I can't recall what they do right now. You can level these ancients up with more souls.

Yeah right before you reset go through all your guys and level them up as much as you can.

You also earn hero souls by defeating primal bosses, which can randomly appear at every boss level (every fifth level) after level 100.

50 clicks per second with middle mouse toggle is optimal

hold control at higher levels, level up to each sub level that allows for the side upgrades and get the cheapest one available based on upgrade cost. Game probably goes to level 200

There's achievements for passing each 200 levels from 1000 to 2000. It probably goes forever. The farthest I've gone before ascending so far is level 790.

How are people getting to these super high levels after they hit Frostleaf. I'm at Frostleaf level 100 and only on world level 134. How do you get the DPS to go on? And these DPS achievements seem unattainable.
