this is so awesome. finally oilers think they may have done right, when in fact, not only did they not get the player, they basically auditioned a spot during their camp for all other 30 GMs to determine just how good he could or couldn't be based on prospect and a main NHL camp.

It's astonishing how that franchise continues to be so inept. It's not like this is a brand new issue, there's recent precedent to go off of. And they still got it wrong.
You'd think eventually they'd figure things out, but there's no end in sight.

I'm still really surprised that not one GM thought he was worth a late round draft pick this year. He clearly showed some fantastic skills, and he's the perfect low boom/bust type of guy to take in a late round.
