By all accounts, Reinhart has had an 'okay' camp and while it's not a slam dunk he'll play with Buffalo all season long, the notion of sending him back to junior for a fourth WHL season is not particularly appealing either. He's going to have to prove he's not ready to play in the NHL and the true test of that will be to play some regular season games.
A little surprised that Reinhart has been just okay so far. He's looked great every time I watched him. Good number of Buffalo fans think he isn't ready yet, but I'm not so sure if another season in junior is needed either. He had done it all.
I agree with McKenzie, a 9 game tryout is probably the best option.
Apparently the Dallas Stars have found a loophole in the CHL/NHL agreement and were able to assign Julius Honka to the AHL despite being drafted from the WHL in the 2014 draft.
The loophole was enabled because Honka was technically on loan from his Finnish team to Swift Current and therefore technically drafted out of Finland.
From what I can tell the IIHF has ruled on the matter and recognizes the assignment.

Wow quite the find from Jim Nill and Co.
Have to think there are some other foreigners that would fall into the same class.
Yeah Reinhart has been just okay in camp and pre-season. I don't see him sticking around -- maybe a couple games out of the 9 to get a taste and then back to Kootenay. Not worried, he's going to be a great player.
Grigorenko has really shown up for camp and impressed Ted Nolan. Worked out a lot over the summer, got bigger and stronger, and showed up with a "work to win" attitude. He's probably been the most impressive young guy at camp along with Ristolainen and is looking to get one if the center ice positions (actually earning it this time).
You should start by saying what team you're talking about. When I hear Reinhart, I think you're talking about ours and it doesn't make sense.
That's good if he's ready for the AHL. At 5'11 and 175 lbs, I'm not sure he is physically ready to play against bigger men yet.
Jim Nill's years with the Detroit Red Wings probably knows when a prospect is ready for the rigors of the AHL. He probably doesn't know how to rush a prospect.

Bill Meltzer @billmeltzer
Samuel Morin has been reassigned to Rimouski by the Flyers. He will be in the lineup tomorrow vs. Blainville-Boisbriand per Oceanic Twitter.
He was reportedly great at Flyers camp

Of course Jim Nill knows how to rush a prospect.
