If so, that would be 2 groin injuries last season in Kingston and 2 injuries with the Flames. I hope it's not going to be chronic. I can still remember the elaborate pre-game on-ice stretching regime Doug Risebrough used while playing for the Flames to enable him to play despite chronic groin problems.

I'm actually glad he's not playing here. A pre-season game's response would be disappointingly tame towards Iggy.

I actually like the Ferland-Reinhart pairing, and Jooris has been pretty good with Ferland (pretty good period, actually).

Reinhart is such a smart player out there in all zones.

Will be interesting if the Gaudreau - Monahan - Baertschi line is put together. Baertschi didn't seem all that effective on the RW in Abbotsford. Maybe Miss Teek's lines are the more accurate lines? Gaudreau on the RW? Would rather shift Glencross over to the right side maybe, as he is fairly strong as a RW still. Will be interesting to see how the lines and positions shake out. A big disappointment here in Sportsnet's coverage.

Another thing to note - No Engelland and no McGrattan. Bollig will be the policeman tonight, and Ferland I am guessing is the unofficial deputy? Gordie Howe Hat trick up for Ferland tonight.

It probably doesn't matter where Johnny lines up as he uses the entire ice surface anyway.

Gaudreau Monahan Baertschi whattttttttttt.

I'm so happy I'm going to this game. Stinkin' Avs dressed their B squad, though.

I think if Sportak's line are right and they're trying Johnny out on the right side that there's reason behind that. Our RW depth is terrible still, and maybe they see better opportunity for Johnny there on the roster and want to see how he handles converting. With Colby going back to center he'd only have to fight with Jones, Setoguchi and McGrattan.

I hope Bennett recovers soon. He just can't catch a break this preseason. Hopefully a new workout regieme will prevent future injuries.

As for the Gaudreau-Monahan-Baertschi line, it seems like a great line on paper. I don't think it will be very good at driving posession though, so I am curious to see what kind of minutes it will get.

I think that line will drive possession fine, there's a ton of "who?"'s dressed in that Colorado line up tonight.

Really? It seems you haven't noticed our two best possession players in the preseason so far. I'll give you a hint: they're both on that line.

Gaudreau-Monahan-Baertschi would be cool, in an NHL14 kinda way, but I think the Glencross-Colborne-Gaudreau and Baertschi-Monahan-Hudler makes a little more sense as a whole. Baertschi-Monahan has a history and Gaudreau playing with a line with more size might be interesting.

As an aside, Baertschi needs to change his name to Wilson or something, I have to double check the spelling every time.
