Ferland!!! 2 goals on the night, the first was a beauty! Ramo played solid as well it sounds like.

Sounded like a great effort from the Flames, especially against the Avs' near NHL line-up. Great goaltending early to keep us in it, and solid the rest of the way.
Go Flames Go!

Didn't you call the win earlier, since we had no business winning this one?

I'm glad a rookie playing a physical role is stepping up offensively and lighting a fire under Jones.
Will be interesting to see how Jones responds.

I'm sad we won't get to see highlights of the fights and hits and big saves tonight.
Sounds like a good team win. Great job by the Ferland line.

If Ferland keeps this up he better be on the opening night roster. He's had a fantastic pre-season.

I'm glad Ramo's responded to the challenge of Hiller and Ortio pushing for his spot. I think he's going to have a really good year based on how he ended things last year and how things are going so far this year. Hiller should be a good backup, and Ortio will almost definitely be ready for the NHL next year. It's nice that we actually have some real depth in goal for the first time possibly in franchise history. I can't think of the last time we had 3 goaltenders that could play in the NHL competently and steal you a game.

Thanks very much for the highlights @Lanny'sDaMan. Helps given that not televised.
Those look like beauty goals!
Colorado had some guns out. I'm surprised by this outcome. Good work by the boys.

Yes, and it's important that, even if he makes the team over Ferland, he maintain a high level of play over the course of the year, otherwise Ferland will likely force him out of the lineup.
I'm completely ok with paying him his ridiculous salary in the minors as long as it counts against the cap.

If we can motivate him back to 25 goal pace, suddenly his trade value becomes more than negligible, and goes up substantially if we retain salary.

I like seeing the stats and we won more faceoffs and had 27 hits to there 11.
I hope we can be a better faceoff team this year. Seems like we are making progress.

Ferland with 4 hits led the Flames in that category too. The man is on a mission. In Penticton he said his goal was to be the best player there and he led the scoring and he isn't letting up.
