Exactly. I admit I am very much against David Jones on this team but regardless hard to say he's looked better than Ferland, Bennett, Baertschi, or Gaudreau on this team.

Good period there. Bouma playing well, blocking shots and playing well defensively. I like him.

Would still be an upgrade on Jones even right now. Just think he'd benefit from another season of Top 6 minutes in the AHL

I guess we are lucky today that the one game with no video the arena it's in has the best scoreboard in the league, so amateur videos and pictures actually look good.

Ferland's looked legit. Bollig looks like he has cement skates, Johnny's been a nonfactor other than getting knocked down.

I am glad Sieloff is playing better. His first couple games were tough to watch but apparently he is stepping back up to the player everyone had seen before. With Wotherspoon, and hopefully Sieloff, I think the Flames defence depth is better than we are giving them credit for.

Really hoping management sticks to their word and has the best 12 forwards in camp dressed for game 1.
However I doubt that will be possible when Gaudreau, Bennett, Ferland all have been top 12 this camp/exhibitions. Granlund too but not with the injury he has.

And it feels like Diaz has been on the ice nonstop. Tonnes of ice time for him.

It's frustrating that the kids are stuck behind such luminaries as David Jones, Devin Setoguchi, and other similar guys when they are showing so much more than them.

How blatant/dumb did his two penalties look?

After signing a bunch of forwards this summer Treliving said these guy's aren't guarenteed roster spots and will have to prove in camp they belong in this line up if they want to play.

If Ferland scores again, I'll have to throw my hat on the ice... I like this hat
