As a (former) coffee shop owner, that is the one of the worst orders I have ever heard. The term "café" anything is a redundancy and annoys me. Grande is a stupid Starbucks term which actually means large but apparently means medium. A mocha means chocolate, and any coffee shop that uses artificially sweetened chocolate deserves to be slapped so any good mocha worth its weight is sugar free (the preferred term over 'no sugar' but that is splitting hairs). Half skim, half full is basically 1% (this one is slightly more understandable, as the milk flavour does change). And lastly, extra dry just pulls the milk more, reducing the proper steamed milk to espresso to chocolate ratio which greatly affects the taste and balance.

I just googled "Complicated coffee order" and copy/pasted the first one I found. That it is needlessly complicated and horrible isn't really a surprise I guess.

With 12 one way contracts plus Monahan there is only the 14th spot available. Not saying a prospect will be consigned to the press box, just that they would be one of the 14 forwards the team carries. You've got to think Baertschi, Gaudreau or Granlund takes that spot.
Would they demote a vet, if so who is on the bubble? I would say Colborne isn't established yet, but no way he's going down. Setoguchi and Jones are fast becoming whipping boys but I don't see either of them going down, unfortunately. Bollig was traded for. That leaves Byron and Bouma as the juniors among the one ways, but I'd argue they were the hardest working forwards last year so would be a shame. Bouma is arguable redundant with Bollig whereas Byron is more versatile. But if you want a temporary spot for Bennett you probably send Byron down.
Then there are injuries. If Backlund isn't quite ready that might be a good slot for Bennett.

It really isn't. I would like to thank Starbucks and Tim Horton's for that.
Sorry for gong way, way, way-way-waaaay off topic (or is it on topic??) I would think Bennett has earned upwards of 9 games, but as stated before salary cap (read: floor) comes in to play and I don't think we can scratch the floor with Bennett on the opening day roster. Granted I don't know the numbers by heart.

Seeing that 1 cup of coffee is 9 games, I hope Bennett enjoys the coffee so much that he has 12 cups of coffee and plays 108 games (82 regular season plus 26 in the playoffs en route to a Stanley Cup).

Probably prorated per his ELC, even if it doesn't kick in. Good question.

I'm not certain if the contract info here, but the sliding of the expiry of the contract based on number of games wouldn't have to change any other terms

Will only need to be 98 games. With Bennett and Gaudreau we'll sweep the playoffs in 16 games.

Bennett's been good but it could be partly due to the adrenalin rush many rookies have only to come back down to earth after a while. Of course Bennett's game seemed to be a lot about tenacity and adrenalin in junior as well, so we'll see.

Here's what it comes down to for me.
If Bennett were at training camp last year, I'd see Bennett having a better chance at making the team. Monahan to me had a good nose for the net and was amazing at being at the right place at the right time (hockey smarts) last year during training camp.
Bennett on the other hand (in my limited viewing) has been able to make something out of nothing and carry the play forward with his tenacity. Both have different styles, but so far Bennett has come off as someone who can carry the line on his own whereas Monahan uses his hockey smarts to stay involved in the play. (Speaking from just viewing both at training camp last 2 years)
If this were last years training camp, Bennett would make the team for 9 games. But this year, under different circumstances I think the odds are much more against him versus Monahan.

So will Bennett have a cup of a coffee for each game he plays?
