Posting pictures of Connor McDavid after bad things happen to teams is my thing. Get off my back, man!

Yeah, but have you looked at the list of defensemen from his draft class? After Barker was drafted at #3, the next to go was Smid at #9, then Boris Valabik (#10), A.J. Thelen (#12), Andrej Meszaros (#23), then Jeff Schultz, Mark Fistric, Mike Green and Andy Rogers #27–30 in round one. Sometimes there just isn't a clear cut choice from one year to the next, and sometimes there are positions that are notably weak from one year to the next.

I met a Finnish journalist at lunch who mentioned she was interviewing Ortio, Ramo, and Granlund. I'll see if I can get more details later on what their thoughts are on Calgary or if I can get links to the articles she is writing.

I think Carcillio will sign a league min contract to take Versteeg's place then we'll pick up Leddy and Versteeg for a pick or prospect.

What in the hell would we want with Versteeg? There are not enough forward spots now.

The hawks want to get rid of him and his cap hit. They'd sign Carcillo at a league min contract and get rid of Versteeg's cap hit. It would be a package deal, you'd have to take Versteeg if you want Leddy. I'd do it because I think Leddy is good and getting better

Quite a few Blackhawks fans have been saying Leddy has regressed and that is why they are willing to move him.
I'd still like to take a chance on him if the price wasn't too high.

If Versteeg was a simple flip he would already be out of Chicago, imo.
Also, Florida is eating some of his cap already, so no other team can eat any of his cap in a trade.

I wouldn't say regressed...but coming along too slowly in D-Zone play...he is, after all, only 23, so it's not like he has maxed out on development.

Then forget it. Seriously, we already are going to have some young players who should be playing in the NHL this year down in the AHL because we have too many forwards. If Versteeg is unmovable then he is not worth acquiring just to get Leddy, we lose some young assets, and somebody like Gaudreau now can't get into the lineup because you have to give Versteeg icetime.
