Doesn't sound so crazy to me anymore seeing how our work ethic and teamwork and resilience all seemed to improve after Iggy got shipped out... But thats another thread.

I was just discussing this game with people at work and they were saying how Calgary's not sending their "stars" and honestly, I think we are. All of our "stars" are rookies.

With Monahan missing, Gaudreau is probably the biggest draw.

I know the Flames just played the Oil the first two games but does anyone know why its the Coyotes and Flames at Sylvan Lake?

Are they mostly Flames fan up there? Did the people there vote for the match up?

I don't get the hate for Doan. Not liking him on the ice is fair enough but off ice the man is all class. The whole Doan family for that matter are great people

Wotherspoon getting a lot better, should be able to compete full contact in 5-7 days.

Hartley impressed with Engelland so far.

Said that a lot of D pairings will likely change throughout the game.

Not much worth noting, the player interviews are more so asking about sylvan lake and playing in a small arena etc..

It's a small arena and they didn't want people fighting for tickets to see a Battle of Alberta. They figured by inviting the Coyotes they would probably draw 500, or better known as the biggest crowd ever to voluntarily watch a Coyotes game

Nope, I asked some fella's locally, and they were told by the NHL this is the game you get. They had zero involvement in the picking of games.

for a few years there he was probably right...look at the work ethic of that team those years they made the playoffs with a bargain basement roster and the Flames mailed it in night after night.
