I remember when it first opened, someone mentioning that copper doesn't really turn green in Calgary, or takes a lot longer than typical, because of our drier climate.

No project planned. That building was incorporated into the overall redevelopment of that block for Eighth Avenue Place.

Looks like a lot less blocky podium and a lot more landscaping? I like it.
Also, the Metropolitan or whatever it is going up looks awful. Point towers > perimeter blocks.

Ugly is pretty harsh, I'd say it is plain. Too plain for such a prominent site in our core, that land is screaming for an iconic supertall.

Considering it's Oxford and Pickard Chilton, not unexpected, but man, what an un uninspiring design for a new tallest.
