Barf... Oh and a February release date... Only bad superhero movies are released at such odd times in the year. They'll probably force them to work with a shoestring budget with a director with no vision, and we'll wind up with an awful PG-13 rated mess (ala Punisher, Ghost Rider, Daredevil, etc).
So what you're saying it can only go up from here?

He doesn't know about most of the stuff he's made a snap decision to attack or not like.
This is rich coming from someone who suddenly calls out posters on this board with very specific accusations of trolling, then quickly becomes unresponsive when he can't substantiate such accusations.

If the writers are smart, they take complete advantage of this. Have Deadpool be confused whenever a sharp beep comes out his mouth when he tries to swear, maybe have him hunt down whatever nefarious organization has done this to him (the FCC) and when he takes them out use golden F-bomb that PG-13 movies get at the very end

Marvel isn't going to make an adult only comic book movie, that would be a dumb business decision.
There was an article that pointed out that all they have to do is avoid excessive blood and it won't be that hard.
As Hemi-Cuda said, confused by the bleeps and the lack of blood and lots of innuendo. I want it to be R. It could still end up R. But if it isn't R, then it's not going to be that much different than the comic and how they script that.
Deadpool doesn't need to swear to be funny, what would disappoint me is having Daniel Way as a major script consultant or writer. He had so few good idea's with Deadpool, but I will give him some credit for his vs Bullseye arc.
I do think they will need some blood, but I think they can also show Wade regenerating without tons of blood as they do with Wolverine(story quality aside).
Also keep Wade Canadian.

Tim Miller is directing the action-adventure project, which stars Ryan Reynolds as an assassin who undergoes a procedure to cure his cancer that ends up leaving him twisted and scarred but also imbued with superpowers.
Honestly has Reynolds ever been in a very good movie? I am not trying to criticize the guy, but aside from Buried (which was good, but nothing special) and possibly Safe House he's been in one stinker after another. Green Lantern, Blade Trinity, RIPD, The Change Up, Turbo, Wolverine, The Amityville Horror are all legitimately awful. Maybe the romcom crowd likes him, but I've never understood the appeal. Is it all because of his affection towards Deadpool? Is that what I'm missing?
I was really surprised how funny Just Friends was. Reminded me of Better Off Dead from the 1980s. Anna Faris was really good in that too.
Don't know where else to put this but there are some leaked videos from comic con from the deadpool trailer, hopefully the link works as fox is pulling them pretty quick. I'm pretty excited for an r rated deadpool.
Yeah, considering the amount of filming they did here it's no surprise.
This trailer is sort of what I wanted. They're not shying away from the dramatic side of what made Deadpool Deadpool. While I understand there will be a huge focus on his humour, if they approach the scenes with Copycat with the same seriousness that they were approached in the Comics, I will be incredibly pleased.
The big issue I had with the run after Cable & Deadpool ended was that Deadpool became one joke that kept repeating the same punch line. There was no reason for any of it, just a character that wanted to do slapstick things. I think Way's dream job was actually writing the character Slapstick, but he got given Deadpool and decided to just go about doing that with what he was given.
So what happened with this movie? Summer 2014 gets a PG-13 rating... No release... 2016 comes around, rating changes, no real hype... Seems like an inevitable bust.
I'm pretty sure they've actually promised it wouldn't be PG-13 on numerous occasions since the fans know you can't make a good Deadpool movie pg.
As for the hype, I think it gets beat by Zoolander, but this movie probably has expectations of $100m domestic which it can probably do if it makes $30m opening weekend and loses to Zoolander which can make $40-50m. Disclaimer I'm not box office expert. Totally made up those numbers. R rated movies rarely top pg movies like Zoolander due to the limited audience.
They seem to be marketing it to Deadpool fans moreso than anyone else. They are likely thinking that there is enough of a cult following to get a word of mouth campaign going (guys showing their friends trailers, dragging their girlfriends to it, etc..). It's budget is pretty modest for a superhero flick, so they likely don't want to risk a huge marketing campaign especially when there's only a certain niche of people who will be seeing this anyways.
They're basically using their built in audience to market it for them. To be honest, it's working. I didn't know much about Deadpool until this initial test footage stuff, and I'm a big comic guy. It's the people that love him and are getting super jacked on the idea of a movie that got me interested in seeing it. And now I have buddies who literally had no clue who/what Deadpool was, and still don't, but they want to see the movie.
