I think without a doubt Reinhart, Granlund and Gaudreau should be on the team this fall, because they've either proven themselves or have too much skill. Reinhart especially has done more than enough to be here, but I have a feeling he could be the odd man out again just cause of the sheer number of depth forwards. I think a trade is needed, unless they can find a way to fit all three kids on the roster. But any vets that fail to outperform these kids should be tossed around in trade talks at the end of camp if other teams are looking for help.

I am loving this. Maybe the epic yearly collapse of the leafs will happen earlier than normal this season?

I wonder how Kessel and Hartley would get along...

"Kessel said he’ll use training camp and the pre-season as a means to get into hockey shape."

Not exactly what you want to here from one of the leaders of the hockey team.
Wonder if he was one of the guys Tim Leiweke was referring to as having terrible character.

That is interesting, I was certain the Flames held his rights for 2 years after giving him a qualifying offer last summer that he never accepted. Maybe it has to be "renewed" by the club each summer. But either best of luck to him, I always liked Bancks.

Bob McKenzie ‏@TSNBobMcKenzie
MIN's injured goalie Josh Harding has been suspended by the Wild because his fractured ankle is not a hockey-related injury.

Not doubting you just wanting more details. In the newspaper at lunch it said it was related to a fight with a teammate.

Josh Harding, arguably the Wild’s No. 1 goaltender heading into Thursday’s training camp, broke his right foot while kicking a wall after an off-ice altercation with a teammate and is expected to miss at least two or three months.

Well, hey at least he would go through a wall for the team. A goalie nonetheless!

He couldn't get through said wall. Not enough team spirit.

IMO you shouldn't be knocking Phil Kessel's fitness unless you can do his job better than him. So just Ovie pretty much. If he can come to camp out of shape and still be the player that he is in 2014 that's quite impressive.
