That's the play a defender makes 100 out of 100. It was a simple safe play cocked up by the keeper.

I agree, but the defenders pass was poor too.

If anything he is at fault for playing it to his weaker foot.

There is no excuse of the keeper. If he just puts his foot through the ball then ludogarets probably leave anfield with a point

He had to take a touch to put it onto his left foot. If he swings wildly with his crappy right foot, he could slice it into his own net.
He's a keeper who hasn't played in 8 months. (Canada doesn't count).
Defender should have booted it upfield I think.

If you are a professional footballer you should be able to use your weak foot to kick. It's not like he's using it to ping a 50 yard diagonal pass. Row z would have been fine

I have a bad feeling about this... Bayern hasn't come close to hitting their stride in the league, missing Schweinsteiger and Robben. Hopefully they'll surprise me

Hart has made 2 fabulous saves in the last couple minutes to keep the game at nil nil. Bayern (and their 6 defenders) are playing much better than I expected

Not the start I was hoping for. City needs to clean up the mess in the back third.

I have to agree. The pass from the defender was poor but even I can smoke a ball into row Z with my off foot.
Crucial win for Liverpool. Ugly, but crucial. They really need 6 points off of Ludogarets.

Terrible missed penalty. Robben and his scum bag diving maybe influenced that non call.

Didn't see the second half at all. Glad they took the win. Everything I read suggests they were the better side over the 90 minutes. Glad Mueller's first minute miss didn't cost them

Bayern were certainly carrying the play and earned a W, wasn't a wrong result. But pretty obvious missed penalty robs MC of a tough road point imo

I dont see it. I think its certainly the fair result and if you make the case that City deserved a penalty you could easily make the same case for Bayern and end up in the same place.
I thought the ref did a reasonable job.

Bayern didn't have a clear cut penalty not called in their favour. Robben dove, as usual. Not a penalty. Where as City was clearly fouled and an obvious penalty missed. They didn't deserve to win, and, would have been lucky to get the draw. Doesn't change an obvious missed penalty.

Did Robben get fouled and still dive? If there was a foul, diving doesn't negate the foul but rather requires two punishments to be handed out.

Wait? What? So Robben not only cheats to try and gain penalties, he also stops them from being called for the opposition?

Unbelievably bad decision. Looks as if he lost his proper ones and he borrowed a pair from the hotels lost and found dept.
