I'm quite interested in keeping an eye on Roma this year, actually. US ownership bringing in foreign cash without turning the team into an arab plaything, lots of crafty/sneaky moneyball-like offseason moves (though losing Benatia hurts), everyone dreading drawing them in the CL, and they're reaching a point where the pressure is on to turn it up another notch and become a proper domestic powerhouse.

Roam are interesting, they went on a hell of a run last season and might even give the Old Lady trouble in retaining the title.

Noticeably, their form has improved since Micheal Bradley left.

The Euro 2020 semi-finals and final are set to be played at Wembley as part of a wide-ranging deal between the English and German football associations, according to officials in Germany. Euro 2020 is being staged in 13 different countries to mark the 60th anniversary of the tournament, with only Wembley and Munich’s Allianz Arena putting in bids to host the final three games ahead of the vote on 19 September.

The deal, reported in the German media, would entail Germany dropping their bid to stage the three 2020 matches in return for England backing Germany’s campaign to host the Euro 2024 tournament. Germany would also support England’s effort to host the tournament in 2028.

Interesting proposal, but by the time they spread all the cash around it wouldnt really be all that significant.

The European Club Association says it wants UEFA to give 24 million euros ($31 million) collected from financial fair play fines back to other clubs.

ECA chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said the group gave UEFA's executive committee a proposal for sharing the money among clubs playing in last season's Champions League and Europa League, excluding the offenders.

The ECA said more than 70 group-stage clubs would each get about 265,000 euros ($341,000). The remaining 20 percent, 4.4 million euros ($5.7 million), would be spread among clubs eliminated in qualifying rounds.

I think the defender could have belted it somewhere since he had time, he's definitely more skilled then the keeper.

Backpass was the obvious and the safe play.

Keeper was not being asked to do anything extra skilful unbecoming of a professional footballer. Control the ball and clear it.
That's the play a defender makes 100 out of 100. It was a simple safe play cocked up by the keeper.
