Yup, it's refundable though either when you get your order or if you cancel.

It's gone both ways, for some of the phones they've been more easily available for some it was really tough. Kind of depends on the demand too, if lots of people were waiting for a bigger screen then demand might be really high, or it might go the other way where most people like the smaller screen and will pass. Setting a new pre-order record might mean big demand, or it just might mean more people using that option rather than others.

You can always line up at your carrier's store on the 19th too. I've done that before, it was kinda fun.

I thought about this too and I've been an apple fanboy my whole life and swear never to go to android anyways if you're going to get something different might as well get something DIFFERENT. I know for a fact that the plus might have issues fitting comfortably in my pocket but I most worried about being able to text with one hand still is it about the same size as the S4/S5 etc?
EDIT: I ordered 2 plus through apple last night but 3-4 weeks wait..But then i went to telus website on line and ended up paying 520 after tax for a 2 year contract 64GB plus since I'm with telus anyways and it said within 1-3 business days that it will arrive so I'm okay with that. I think its kinda pricey still for a contract to pay 400+...

Not entirely familiar with AppleCare+ but wonder if there's a separate pricing for the 6+?

Interesting, wonder if it's different if I never bother with the upgrade path. I pay out of pocket for the unlocked phone and just keep my 6gb plan forever?

Or if you don't need your 6GB you could probably sell it for a lot of money.

Well I cried a little, then I laughed a lot due to exhaustion and fatigue... now I'll just wait until they're out in stores instead of pre-ordering. It was serious. I was pumped to order a new phone and was excited about getting to pre-order. Then I was bummed when it didn't work out. No Shame in that.

They may attempt to increase your plan (I think they have about $5 for Roger customers with the $30 6GB add on, but if you do intend to keep your plan, buying phones outright will be your only option.

I went ahead and reserved the 6 64GB space grey. Going out on a hunch that I won't want the 6+ once I actually see it- needs to pick in pocket comfortably.

I spoke with some one from Fido today via the chat tool and I was told "if you get your own phone, all you need to do is buy a new sim card and we'll switch it over for you. Nothing will change".
I honestly don't need/want a new phone right now really, so I'll be staying put for a while. Just hope they don't ever try to pry the 6gb plan away from me.

I don't know if it's rubber, but it just looks like it. The lines on the back of the phone that help for reception.

I was dumb and switched to Bell 2 years ago from Fido. I'll never get 6GB for that much for at least another decade. Don't ever switch!

Called Rogers and waited on hold for about 2 hours tonight to speak with a business rep who proceeds to tell me that I'm only 1 year into a 3 year plan and I'm not eligible for an upgrade until my plan is over and I'd have to pay full price for the phone if I wanted it. F that.

What are the experiences of people running iPhones outside of the big 3?
I'm hoping to get out of my current Telus contract and switch to a new one (either a different Telus contract or a different company all-together). My main concerns are: 2+GB of data and decent coverage (excellent bars from Airdrie to Okotoks, decent-good on the highways).
I'd pay $90 for that with Telus on their iPhone-level plans. Anyone running anything similar that they're really impressed with for cheaper?

With Fido and off a 4 year contract as of August...
Had to switch my $17.50 voice and $15 iPhone value pack to the $35 standard voice plan and was able to keep my $30 6 GB data plan. This made my plan change from a Smart plan to a Max plan thus qualifying me for the full subsidy. I can live with a 2 year tab at $2 more/ month.
Hello iPhone 6+! I'm number 244.

If it's any consolation, my coworker mocked both the 6 and 6+ by using those templates you can download and glued them on to cardboard that is pretty close to the thickness of the phones. I'd be worried that it won't fit in all pant pockets. The jeans I wore that day the corner of the 6+ was slightly sticking out of my front pocket.
Now I need to ask him why he has time to build mock iPhones but not respond to my emails...

For the fido in line thing is that for the whole country? The province? The store I chose? (I hope not)

I'm not usually one to side with Rogers, but at year 1 of 3 you still haven't paid off whatever phone they gave you yet, so it's not unreasonable to tell you to pound sand.
Checked out a 5.5" LG phone today at target and while it's quite huge, it didn't feel like a small tablet (which is what I was expecting).

I think before I make my choice I would like to see the phones. Feel them and touch them. Evaluate screen size. This is the first time I've never pre-ordered an iPhone except for the first one which was unavailable in Canada. The 4.7 inch model just doesn't offer anything over the iPhone 5s.
I would prefer the phone to be discreet but at the same rate, it's slowly becoming the main work device.
