Yeah Carroll didn't do much at all and dragged the Bennett line down.

Gaudreau - Bennett - Padakin would be nice to see.

As much as I hate the Coilers, I'm hoping Connor and Kellen have a good camp. I'd like to see more local boys succeed.

I wish Poirier was healthy just for this game to be able toss out Gaudreau-Bennett-Poirier and watch Nurse get whiplash.

Ferland was playing on the right side yesterday wasn't he?

If that's the case, I'd like to see a Gaudreau-Granlund-Ferland top line tonight. Just to see if Granny and Ferland can spark Gaudreau a little bit more. Because let's face it, Hunter Smith was behind the play all night (not a big deal). If you put Johnny with those two, I'm sure you'd have a deadly first line, plus Ferland can protect him if need be.

Looks like McDonald will get the start in net tonight:

Aaron Vickers @AAVickers
#Flames morning skate underway. Mason McDonald working in his own net, much like Ortio yesterday. Probable starter, I'd think.

Who the hell is doing those box scores. There is no way that Granlund does not get an assist on the empty net goal against the Jets. It was clearly Granlund that threw that nice pass over. I want Bennett to succeed but it clearly wasn't his assist.

That second line. Oh my. Not the most skilled, but that line is going to be relentless down low. Good luck Oilers.

Sam should be able to keep up with Johnny, should've been together in the first place.

No Granlund in the line up, don't recall hearing anything about injury?
Gonna take this as a good sign for him, they've seen his progression, and he was very impressive last night. Get someone else in the line-up, Granlund will be pushing for a spot this season no doubt.

^ no injury for Granlund, you're probably right, they've seen enough last night to know where Granlund stands in the pecking order. At the top, tied or a little ahead of Gaudreau.

At this point, I'd put Granlund ahead of Johnny as far as readiness to step up to the big club, there's no doubt however, that when Johnny is ready, he will be the biggest offensive threat we've seen come out of our prospect pool in a long, long time.
And for all I know (and hope), he could be ready this year.

Yeah granlund too good. Looks like we have a dominant first line but that's about it for tonight.

Also no sieloff. That is a bit surprising. He could use some more game time for sure.

All good, it's just the Oilers anyway.
