put it in the win column! Really love the depth of our prospect pool right now, such a different feeling than 3-4 years ago!

not surprising the Flames best line was the one with the most pro experience and have actually played together for the Heat last season and had some existing chemistry

Dion's three stars of the game:
1. Granlund
2. Gaudreau
3. Ramage

It is a mini tournament and most guys have never played with each other so not surprising they are all a little rusty.

Going to be a lot of high scoring games this tournament for us? Good offensively, bad defensively

I thought the defense looked much better in the third.

Agreed, in the first they were all running into eachother and trying to direct where the other should go, to little avail. The third period looked a LOT more structured. Think they finally get a real practice in tomorrow

Kanzig looked good out there at times. That's encouraging.

Lay off the defense.
Roy injury left them with 5 dmen for most of the game. Sieloff hasn't actually played a real game in almost a calendar year.
No existing chemistry or in depth knowledge of dmen partners etc.

Agreed. Looked a lot better in the 3rd. I'm sure after another practice tomorrow it'll be a different story.

That gaudreau goal was insane! The deke through the dman was impressive enough... but to lift the puck top shelf on the backhand that quickly and at that angle? I've ever seen anything like that before.
