One game that still bothers me is that one game against KC. Final out, and Reyes misfires the throw.
Instead of winning their 10th straight, they lose the next 2.

No wonder the Cardinals are so good, with 15 guaranteed wins every year.

The A's lost today, unfortunately the Indians won a double header and are now tied with the Jays.

This year it's not exactly a powerhouse. It is 14 games over .500 as a whole which still ranks as the best in Baseball. But it's not the beast it has been in previous years.
This was a year the Jays could have had a chance.

Thing is that it still has enough good teams in it that you don't get any easy teams to beat up.
Tampa, and Boston have bad records this year but I still wouldn't call them easy wins.
Ends up making a difference in the Wild Card race when you don't have games against as many pushovers.

I stopped paying attention to the Jays. Should I continue? They look to be on the right track when I don't pay attention. Just PM me if they win the World Series .

More good news in the wildcard race. O's beat the yanks in game 1 of their doubleheader. Jays now 1.5 up on NY.

I'm cheering for the M's... Two reasons... 1. A's are fragile and I want to see their slump continue, don't give them any confidence. 2. The jays still have a 4 game set against the M's left (at home to boot) and control their destiny more if the M's win.
Might wander down and catch some of that series this weekend, looks like good weather in Seattle.

You'll get good seats, the M's are drawing flies.

I went down for the 2nd game of the M's and Jays series and got great seats right behind Bautista. Came very close to catching Kyle Seagers homerun.

Kind of hard to win games when you get zero runs. Wasn't a must-win, but that stings.

That was disgusting... Getting dominated by a guy who has been in triple a all year and had an ERA well over 5 down there. Also the crowd definately could have been better for a friday night game with those stakes. Too bad.

Typical. Need a win = Loss.
Couldn't manage more than 2 hits against a crappy pitcher. Poor effort.

Back to back homers by Lind and EE get it done today. Pretty much need to finish 13-2 to have a chance. The starting pitching has been good lately.

I think they are toast - and sadly have been for a while - but I guess you never truly know.
Maybe they can pick off a few games from the Orioles (to use toward wildcard, O's have something like a 10 game lead in division?), now with Chris Davis suspended. The Jays and O's play each other a fair bit in this last bit of the season. Although Davis hasn't been great this year, so the O's will probably just keep chugging along: http://www.theglobeandmail.com/sport...ticle20575099/

Down 4-0 to the rays already. Poor Ryan Goins got rung up on a full count pitch that looked a good ways outside and then a couple batters later Lind flies out with the bases loaded, their only real chance to score so far.
