If Calgary doesn't win the Grey Cup now it has to be seen as a massive failure, right? They're the class of the league and their main competition has just lost their QB. Plus they're still getting guys back from injury.

It was a massive failure losing to the Riders last year on home turf and losing the Grey Cup to an inferior Argos team the year before. Every year there's no excuse why the Stampeders shouldn't win the Grey Cup as they have been the best regular season CFL team for almost a decade now and only one GC to show for it. This year if they don't win the GC maybe it's time for Huff to go upstairs and let DD steer the ship as the playoff choke jobs are wasting championship caliber rosters.

Wow. Lulay and now Durant done for the season. Despite all of the injury woes of the Stampeders, they are definitely in the best shape of all the teams in the West. And after sweeping the Esks, I think the pressure is on them not just to make it to the Grey Cup, but to win it. Anything less would be a huge disappointment IMO.

You forgot:

5. Phantom Pass Interference calls to bail-out QB

Me too.
But our lineup was much more depleted last year when we played them in the playoffs. Our entire d-line and receiving core was decimated with injuries.
Sunseri looked good anyway. Sask will still be tough to beat.

Bare in mind, that we also had our fair share of injuries earlier this season.
I guess having the #1 QB contraversy at camp was a good thing. Even if BLM falls, we have Tate, who was close in getting the #1 spot, to fall back on

Is Drew Tate available to Saskatchewan? That would make for quite the storyline.

After the last three years of a QB carousel due to injuries, constant receiver and injuries in the trenches I don't feel sorry for other teams having their share. In three years there are virtually no players left from the Burris era. Dimitri Tsoumpas was our best player on the OL and he had to retire this offseason for crying out loud. Stamps just keep plugging guys in and winning. If other teams don't have the depth that's their problem.

No way the Roughriders could convince Huff to make that trade. They are screwed.

Not to mention Tate's already been in Saskatchewan
Like many who's lived in Sask and have moved out, there's no way he'd want to go back

Seriously, it is no different from the 90's - those Stamps teams with Flutie, Pitts, Sapunjis, Moore, Vaughn, Garcia, DD, etc... should have had more titles to show for it - what did we get... 2 or 3?
I guess I am just used to Calgary teams killing it in the regular season then choking it all away when it matters - football and hockey.

I could see that conversation.
BT - "Hey Johnny Boy, I'm sure that you've seen the news and we have a bit o a quarterbacking crisis, and I was sitting there saying to myself self, self, we need a QB and Calgary's got Tate"
JH - "yahuh" sound of toilet fan and a paper rattling"
BT - "Anyhoo, what would it take for us to get Drew Tate back to Regina. I mean I'll be honest Sunseri don't fill the old BT with olot of confidnece"
JH - "John Chick"
BT - "But wait . . . you can't . . . John Chick . . . . I'm telling the commissioner, he told me I could have anything I want . . . no fairs"
JH - "John Chick and your number one pick"
BT - "I can't . . . "
JH - "Look man I'm trying to take a Regina here, when you get serious give me a call"

I believe DD is part of the reason they struggle to win it all. His refusal to run the ball with a lead late in games gives the opponent chances to make big plays.

Maybe Ottawa will trade them Burris? He probably wants the hell out of there now.

Could the Riders even afford Burris at his contract? Especially with how much money the probably just gave Dressler. I'm not really familiar with how the cap works with injuries in the CFL.

Burris to Regina I can see happening.
Only way Tate moves to Regina is in the offseason after Calgary re signs BLM long term.

Hard to fell sorry for Rider fans when they were cheering and joking over Lulays injury from Friday. If I believed in karma, I would say this is it.
