Bama game is close.... I guess it's hard for them to get up for this game since ya know... it's not the national championship game.

Well when you're so used to winning the big one, it's hard to get up for the small ones.

Yeah it'll be nice to see another Nat'l Championship game without Alabama this year. Im glad the Sooners and the freshman QB put them in their place last year. SEC is such a powerhouse that their best team just struggled with a team that went 2-7 in the Big 12 last year. I'm glad Alabama's time is over. Wonder who ESPN moves on to now? If you're like most Alabama fans these days you probably became a fan in '08, so these next 10 or so years are going to be tough for you.

As long as it makes you happy, I guess that's all that really matters. Moral victories and all that?

I suppose....just like seeing a changing of the guard. Plus c'mon man college football isn't as fun without rivals to talk trash too. I moved to Calgary and no one cares here. I wish I was back home to give the Okie State Cowboy fans crap for this:

Changing of the guard is fine, and if they suck again, I'll go back to a radio stream and the gameday app on ESPN like I did before they were shown on TV again. Granted, every year I think it's going to be the year they fall off and it hasn't happened yet so who knows.

And yeah ... that sign

Florida game delayed due to lightning for a few hours then they get the kickoff in and UF runs it down to the 14 yard line only to delay it again for "lighting" Now it's up to the refs and they don't want to play the game so it looks like the game will be cancelled.

Total bull####

ok.

Somehow I think OU fans would not have been able to come up with much if they wanted to talk trash to anyone.

What an absolutely disasterous day for the Big (Little?) 10:

Ohio State losses to a mid-tier ACC team at home
Michigan humiliated, shut-out 31-0 to Notre Dame
Michigan State hammered by Oregon (good loss I guess?)
Nebraska needs a miracle to avoid losing to an FCS team
Wisconsin leads a FCS school 2-0 for the majority of a half
Iowa needs a miracle to beat a MAC team
Purdue gets crushed by a MAC team
Northwestern losses to a MAC team

The nice thing about this is ideally now people realize how the Big 10 is marginally better than the MAC (is it?), and we now have it set up for the 4 real conference champs (SEC, Big 12, Pac 12, ACC) to get into the playoff. Terrible conference, badly overrated and Ohio State almost snuck into the title game last year, which would have been a debacle.

Loved watching the Irish manhandle Michigan. Figured the offense would be decent but the defense is looking good so far.

Unbelievable.

Penn State will be eligible for the postseason this year and will have all its scholarships returned next year, after the NCAA agreed Monday afternoon to again reduce sanctions stemming from the Jerry Sandusky child sex abuse scandal.

Penn State's athletics integrity monitor, former Sen. George Mitchell, recommended both actions in his second annual report that gauges progress made by the university. Minutes after the report was announced, the NCAA said it would follow both recommendations immediately

The NCAA over stepped its jurisdiction in that Penn State case. It's job is to enforce the amateur sports model and discipline people for recruiting violations and other dumb stuff. What happened at Penn State was much more egregious and thankfully the right disciplinary body took care of it. Paterno is dead, Sandusky will die in jail, and multiple other people are facing charges and jail time. The AD and the University president were both fired. I don't see what keeping 19 year olds from playing in the chik-fil-a bowl does for anyone.
