Poor Jobo, he has his hands full over on the EA board.

I've already pre-ordered this digitally on the PSN - which, whatever. I've defended EA...but this seems way too bare bones. It sounds like it's on par with NHL 96 on the SNES as far as modes go. It's also very annoying that the only mode they managed to get in the game was HUT (cash cow). Sigh.

I'll be buying the PS3 version as well...because the PS4 version just isn't enough of a game for me, but I'll still be happy to sink a bunch of time into it...just...disappointingly so.

I love hockey, and the addiction that 20+ years worth of hockey games has built up won't be broken this year...but I'm definitely disappointed.

Can anyone with early access take a picture of the stats for Flames' players.

No disrespect to Jobo, but there's no real defense for EA here. They are trying to get people to pre-order a game at full price without them knowing stuff like there's no draft in the game, amongst a massive list of other exclusions.

As for patches, you can't just sell a product at full price and not let poeple know exactly what they are getting and when.

It's like ordering a pizza and the delivery guy tells me "I'll bring you the toppings at a later date, but please pay me full price for the crust right now."

The game is incomplete. I hope review scores reflect it.

Jobo is just a mod, he has nothing to do with the game so that's why I said poor him.

i've been pretty disappointed by the commentary. I wouldn't be surprised if they don't even have all the player names recorded in, as the announcers never actually tell you who's got the puck, or passing/shooting. you score a beauty of a goal and most of the time till the faceoff it's just silence... I only got 3 games in before heading out this morning, but anyone else have any thoughts on the commentary thus far?

Honestly I haven't listened to the commentary for years, we just put on music while we play. So when I had the commentary on during the demo I found it added nothing to my experience.

As long as I don't hear:
"That's a good play because of...anticipation"
or
"Finish finish finish, and i'm not talking about the country"

The commentary will be imporved

So Brodie is 81 overall and has brutal trade value. In comparison, Chris Tanev is 82.

Backlund is 82 (too low)

Monahan is 84 (too high right now)

Giordano is 87.

Can anyone officially confirm this? Me and my friends have spent literally hundreds of hours playing just basic online versus together against random people online. If they took that out this will be a no buy.

Edit: I'm just talking couch co-op too. Can we sit down on the same tv, 2-4 of us, and play on the same team against someone online.

How does this happen on a 2 year layoff for next generation? Honestly.

God it just gets worse. I'm a big fan of the series, but even I have to admit I didn't bite at NHL 14 until it was $15 on a Playstation Plus sale and I'm MIGHTY happy I grabbed this for $40 on the E3 sale.

I agree with Igottago... to be pushing preorders while not communicating with your users that there were some large gaps ahead is a very damaging move. They came out and listed the modes which was probably unfun for them, but it had to be done. Now to find out that there's no minor system or draft? That probably could have been mentioned when they said that GM was stripped back. I figured they meant the blackberry wheeling and dealing and GM point system would be missing. The entire minor league system is gone? To be fair, I didn't really use it so I'm not actually angry, but I have to think I'm in a minority that ignores it.

I'm still excited for the game because it appears the only thing I do has been left untouched somehow, but wow.

As far as I can tell you will be able to play couch co-op on be a GM mode, this however doesn't help you playing against someone online since you will have to play against the computer.

from what i remember gaudreau is a 76. Bouma/byron are both 77.

I hated the brodie rating, guy gets no frigin respect. Smid and wideman both have higher ratings from what i recall.

I need some help please.

Is it in any way possible to play offline matches in HUT?
(I've heard there are no offline/single player season and/or tournaments?)

I'm a casual gamer, who gets annoyed and frustrated rather quickly when playing online games versus hardcore gamers who trash me 15-0 each game.

And in my timezone, the chances of facing off against people of my level are probably rare.
