This. The game mode barely had any substance before, I don't see how they possibly stripped it down even more.

I think I'll pass this year. I guess I'm saving $70 and will have more time to play Destiny, so that's a positive.

The kicker for me was the ability to edit players to my stats/equipment updates and the custom soundtrack.

Hope its mostly back in 2016.

Pretty unfortunate to hear some of this. Again, I'm easy to please and a GM mode fan, so I'm largely unaffected. For the people not like me (of which there are tons), this blows. My only concern is that EA doesn't look at lacklustre sales this year and pull more resources.

What is missing from Be A GM mode? It was basically a glorified season mode last year, I can't see what they possibly took out.

Drafting is done automatically by the CPU.

A good company would see the lower sales and put more money into it to increase sales for the next time, but of course we are talking about EA.

This thread has been a buzz kill for me. I haven't missed a year since NHL 2004. I'm surprised they stripped down so much. I want to say I won't buy it but I'm pretty sure I'll be sucked in.

Really hope the guys at EA step up and patch this game.

I might get it on boxing day or something, but I'm not paying $70 for new commentary, puck physics and extremely barebones game modes.

EASHL didn't bother me, but this is garbage. Hope they step it up next year.

NO DRAFT?????? does that mean no scouting??.... ugh, a weak be a gm, makes the game useless to me, there's nothing to play if the online vs isn't fun once exploits are found.

Hate to say it but it might be time for Rammer to pass on the torch to another producer.

Its starting to get the old boys club feel the Flames had before Burke cleaned house.

I wonder if the user drafting is one of the things they will 'patch' in later?

I think scouting will be part of the GM mode but its useless now.

Wow. Gimped Be a Pro mode? Horrible but at least there's Be a GM mode right? Nope.

With the E3 promo, paying even $40 is starting to looking like a waste.

Yeah, if I was paying $70 I would probably skip it. I'll give it a shot and if I don't like it I will trade it in and at least I will get my money back.

I thought the previous drafting system was pretty awkward to begin with. I'm blindly loyal to the franchise and see this as potentially a good thing.

However, the numerous issues as discussed and a stripped down GM mode really aren't helping the cause. If the create a team functionality is removed my rose coloured glasses are coming off as the gameplay is pretty good but EA can't remove this much out of a game and get away with it.

What a missed opportunity if true EA.
