No TD's allowed by the Stamps defense.

Stamps D: 2, Chris Jones: 0. Vroom vroom!

He sucks. His defence is good for a year, and the he's picked apart easily.

Stamps OL won the game. I could have run for 100 with the holes they opened up all game long!

Decent game, great crowd. To bad Reilly wasn't playing or it could have been even better!

He up and left for Toronto, not telling anyone in Calgary (while still under contract with the Stamps). Huf read it in the paper after it was already done.

Toronto claimed innocence over it all (assume Barker was involved, and the CFL doesn't like to come down too hard on Braley who owns them and the Lions), and got a slap on the wrist for signing/tampering with a coaching staff member under contract to another team. Thought is that new coach Milanovich told Jones to come be his DC. Argos called it an
"inadvertant error" after getting fined $5k, in yet another joke of a move by the CFL.

So basically a mix of Jones realizing he wasn't going to be a head coach here anytime soon, instead of manning up and asking his boss to let him talk to the Argos, just takes off knowing he can get a spot in Toronto as he was promised to be an assistant head coach and the team won't face any repercussions.

Coward.

I love labour days. Screw the Esks, Chris Jones, and those silly BO infused Eskie fans.

With all that talent on offense, the defense is the backbone of the Stampeders.

Huge props to Huf and Rich Stubler.
And that is why I think they are the team to beat. They've been good like this before but there were always questions surrounding the d but not this year.

The other aspect of the great d is that it allows BLM to be a game manager. They don't need him to win games, just don't turn the ball over and everything will be fine.

Chris Jones is such a clown. He's done a pretty good job with that team this year but he always does in his first season with a team (Grey Cups in first years with Calgary and Toronto) and then things degrade as the years go by and he gets more control. He's one of those guys that's got a short shelf life due to his lack of class.

What a game to watch!! haha... glad the Stamps came out on top!

Some notes from watching it live

-Stamps org showing lots of respect for the armed forces. Pretty much all of the commercial time out games involved armed forces guys

-The fastest cow is no longer the fastest! Someone finally beats him. Apparently, the challenger has track experience and the cow underestimated him

-When Maver`s punt got blocked and got taken down, Maver got rocked a second time when he tried to go after the interceptor

- Eskimos brought their full cheerleading squad and pretty much annoyed the East half of McMahon. Drew lots of heat as the boos can be heard all the way from where i sat in the west end. They were standing cheerleaders on the guy`s shoulders and were blocking the first 3 rows`s view of the game. Luckily Ralph the dog started a strong and unified Go Stamps Go! chant

- Stands looked packed! They announced it was a sold out crowd

- Models all over McMahon promoting the Outrider theme. They were doing the still poses in black cowboy overcoats

The score is deceiving. The game could have been 40-7 or whatever. Stampeders dominated the game : Offense, Defense and Special Team. The only part was the blocked punt on Rb Maver. I have to blame that first blocker since he was fooled by that guy who blocked the punt. I thought Bo Levi played well. He was throwing some good football. Yes he overthrew or underthew the ball at times. Some are receivers' fault where they ran the wrong route. Other than that, they outplayed the Eskimos defense all game. Well, JC as in Jon Cornish is back!! For a team who's focused on stopping Jon Cornish run all game, JC managed to racked up over 163 yards I believed. The two players(Rene Curran and JC Sherritt) TSN was bragging about going to stop Cornish was nowhere to be found. MoJo (Price & West) was good today and guess who's back??? Nik Lewis! Offensive Line outplayed Eskimos DLine.

Defense. For the second game in a row, Stamps D did not allow an offensive TD by an opponent. They only gave up one field goal by Eskimos and it was because the referee gave the Eskimos offense second chances by calling a roughing the passer on Keon Raymond. That was a borderline penalty because pretty much just tapped Nichols but maybe because he came in a little late. Nichols was just brutal all game. Only reason he passed for over 200 yards was because Adarius Bowman, who I thought was offside on a lot of occassion. Defense pretty much shut down the Eskimos. I love that celebration dance by Charleston Hughes and the gang after he sacked Matt Nichols the first time. Vroom, vroom...

Edit : Stamps actually gave up 2 FG not 1.

Special Team coverage was great. Not a lot of good return by Eskimos returner. Sanders was okay and he got the job done. Maver was blocked once and another came close. I can't really blame the guy as I believed he was kicking the ball pretty much the same time as normal. Eskimos special team was just beating the Stamps blockers in front of Maver. Other than that Stamps ST also was better than Esk ST.

Good game and I love the result. I love the helmet especially and the top uni was pretty good too.

Dan Federkiel is questionable, he had a stinger in his neck/shoulder area but it doesn't look to bad. Might miss 1 game at most.

I'm hoping OL Brander Craighead will be back soon, he's been out a while.

Also I think Joe West will miss this weekends game as he is back home for his brothers funeral.

I kinda hope Hugh Charles is able to get in the game, him and Cornish would be a dynamic duo in the backfield.
