We struck out here as I figured if I didnt get these guys for a bargain it was just as well to use kids in the lineup. Looks like now Clowe and Klesla and a couple kids will be brought up from the farm.

Oilers struck out huge at forward on the first two batches. Overpaid for pretty much everyone (dont think we lost a bid) and took a risk on Selanne. Had the cap space to do so.

^The biggest deterrent of the grids is the 1 way nature of all the contracts. Teams can overspend on UFA bids knowing that if the player diminishes they can get out of it by waiving the player to the AHL and releasing at that lower cap hit.
