Unimpressed with the demo. Will be fun to play online vs friends.... But that's it. Madden and Fifa are looking to be far superior... But that could also be that hockey is difficult to make into a game.

I like that I can actually roof the puck on my backhand finally.

Biggest frustration is the jerky presentation. Every time one scene cuts to another it feels like there's a glitchy transition.

That annoyed me too, especially when you compare it to the amazing presentation in Madden 15.

NBA 2k14 looks way better let alone NBA 2k15...could be hockey is harder though and less money invested

Disappointed with how calm Doc sounds. Needs more "scaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrs!!!!" after a goal.

Also what did they change about the skillstick? The dekes are all exactly the same. Animations are a little smoother, but everything else is the same, at least so far.

Seems if you do a toe drag it triggers a quick deke-type of animation automatically. That's all I can see.

I like it. Definitely feels more alive and more realistic puck play happening.

its not a bad game just very similar to last gen and idiots are gonna glitch goal in online play. Regretting the pre-order but it was the E3 one so I could sell it at a profit

The puck physics feel way better so far. No more weird, unrealistic bounces when you dump it in.

Not that impressed to be honest. I took 14 off due to my PS3 burning out. I was/am really looking forward to this game but didn't feel next gen really at all. I will still buy it but I was hoping for more

in the demo, can you manage to get into the create a team function...? and if so, are there any new logos, jerseys, design stuff at all?

They haven't changed these in literally i think 6 years and this is something I'm interested in, creating my own gig and doing the be a gm.

Didn't buy NHL14, think EA is insanely brutal and will just look at NHL16 if 15 doesn't have these updates.

you would think EA could figure it out after 20 plus years...coming across from the corner has been a sure goal forever. Its annoying, faces look pretty generic too for the most part and those are two premiere teams...can't wait to see what the Flames players look like lol

Seriously? I saw 2 generic faces out of both teams.

Almost everyone had an accurate face, which is incredible compared to even last year.

In NHL 99 on PC all players had their real faces...you could even scan your own face in. Sorry I am not impressed this many years later many of the faces don't look very good. Have you seen NBA 2k14? (let alone 15) guys look spot on. I know what most of these guys look like and couldn't tell who many of them were based on the face.

some people are too harsh on EA, others seem to bend over backwards to defend them....there is no excuse for generic faces

has anyone seen the following in the demo thus far:
- 5 on 3 powerplay
- puck batted in with a high stick or kicked in that is reviewed
- penalty shot
- injuries

also, what setting are most people playing at (i'm keeping it at pro/hardcore as i prefer moving to all-star when i have the game itself)? rumour is online will be allstar/hardcore, which sounds good.

a few things i'll point out after playing the demo more:
- when have you ever seen a player in real hockey skate the puck in, stop, skate backwards while retaining full puck control?? there needs to be puck control penalties on all players (cpu/human) when skating backwards with the puck, that never happens.

- poke check seems close to impossible to actually achieve against an oncoming rusher.

- passing is just way too accurate

still enjoying the demo quite a bit. Wish they had hut as i hate the rangers, and playing with LA is getting old/tiresome.

I played 1 game with player lock on RW and beat the Rangers 3-0. One goal I was Williams and I cycled the puck with Kopitar, who then passed it out front to Gaborik. The second goal I carried it in the zone on a delayed penalty. I stopped on the side boards and passed to the point who passed it to the other side boards, that player took a shot and we scored on the rebound. Third goal I was Williams and I tipped a shot from the point.

I found hitting was a little harder in this one, but it was 1 game and I wasn't really running around looking for hits. I found the poke check to work sometimes, but less than last year which is nice. I put it on dynamic camera high and it was ok, would take some getting used to if I was going to switch to it.

For passing LA finished with 70-ish% and Rangers were 84% I think. I looked at the sliders and pass assist was pretty high up, I think about 80%. That's all I really remember off hand, so I may add more if I remember.

I thought the game was fun to play, looking foward to sitting on the couch and playing with a few buddies while drinking beer.

I had a 5-on-3 powerplay when I was playing last night.

I enjoyed the demo. It's not perfect but it's way better than no NHL game which is what I had previously with my XBone.
