Vasek was in cruise control heading into the 2nd set, lost that set and is now down in the 3rd. Looks like he's lost all the confidence he had in the 1st set.

Vasek now down two sets to one and the match appears to have slipped away, will need a huge rally.

Also a very bizarre match between Andy Murray and Robin Haase, Murray gets up two sets easily, appears to start breaking down physically and losses 10 of the next 11 games, fights back and wins the match in 4. But he looks shot physically and should be an easy out in the next round or two.

Vasek needs to find his mojo asap. His confidence just looks crushed, which is so strange as he looked pretty dominant in the 1st set. Hopefully he can turn things around soon and force a 5th set.

I hate to be too harsh on Vasek, but that is a totally unacceptable loss. Bolelli just won his first hard court match of the season. Just a brutal loss for him.

Yeah, Vasek should be taking a guy like Bolelli in straight sets, this is a bad, bad loss. Way too many unforced errors today and 1st serve percentage was very low.

I have some friends at Flushing Meadows and they watched Bouchard practice yesterday. Her coach was apparently having some heated words with her and was often yelling. It'll be interesting to see how she plays today.
