While I was sarcastic with the TV show learning, my legal knowledge is mediocre.

From the Facebook link you quoted, one of the posts from the pseudonym, Ms Tibu uses, she mentioned the crown opposes full disclosure.

Sorry, misunderstood your post... sometimes self deprecating humor is lost on the interwebs.

I didn't quote the facebook article. I simply replied to it... it's a bit of a mess to follow and I missed the opposition to disclosure. However there is no publication ban yet and she most likely already has full disclosure.

That kind of stuff probably happens all the time though, so the cop still should have just politely and calmly explained that it was a fully-automatic assault rifle she was trying to find the Record button on, and not, in fact, her mobile phone with a built-in 8MP 1080p HD video camera and a Carl Zeiss lens.
