HB is one of those QBs who ya either love...or hate. I am on the latter end of the scale. I dont think Henry has the edge...that meaness required to take the Stamps to the cup. Hes a nice guy...but you know where those guys finish.

Not a big fan of his. I think his on field decision making is poor and ultimately this is why he gives away so many games. I also wasn't impressed with how he handled the botched play at the end of the game on Saturday.
And, since you asked...I think he smiles to damn much. Less smiling more winning Hank!

I think he has great arm strength and really poor accuracy. I take it that the smiling commentary is sarcasm I'm not picking up on - his execution has nothing to do it and who is gonna lay into a guy for smiling too much.

Whenever the Stamps are losing I want to slap the smile off his face. You're losing Henry, it's not time to be happy. It's time to feel shame.

I hate the overall cockyness of the Stamps offense right now. I just don't feel that they understand how hard it is to be successful in this league, and I don't mind seeing them lose after playing such a crappy game. It was nice to see some anger and emotion from Burris after the botched play at the end of the game, but I'd rather see him working harder and being more emotional earlier in the game when the Stamps were (yet again) failing to capitalize on good scoring opportunities.

I don't understand why Burris is so inconsistant and such a slow starter.
He is a solid QB as he has proven in the CFL, he was on fire the last half of the season and consistantly put up big numbers, but this year he has looked down right awful at times.
Even without that miscue at the end, the stamps didn't deserve to win that game. Offensively they were down right bad.
I thought Reynolds played decent, but the Edm D-Line really stacked up against him well on some first downs - that isn't really his fault per-se, usually getting nailed in the backfield you can point to the O-Line.

Did Rambo break off his route on that play? I didn't hear if they ever said.
Brutal offence with a few flashes, but what was with the Stamps secondary giving up the deep balls in the second half?

Rambo overran his route. Apparently he was supposed to do a curl in the endzone (according to Jim Barker), but he also said Henry should never have made that throw on 1st down.
Both are at fault.

The thing that drove me crazy Saturday night was the inconsistency. One minute, we have big plays (no bigger than Cope's catch on the 5 with a couple of minutes to play), and literally the next minute, we have idiotic plays (the end zone pick).
At one point, Ricky Ray was 18 of 21 in the third quarter. Man, I could only dream of that kind of consistency.
Last gripe - with 2 minutes left in the first half and the Esks on the march, Clark forces a fumble (confirmed by video review), and we get the ball. We have a chance to go down and get some points before the half ends. What happens? 2 and out. Brutal. Esks got the ball back, and thankfully they didn't score.
Hoping for better things on Thursday.

Well, to be fair, that completion percentage had a fair bit to do with the Stamps Defense as well as Ricky Ray.
They gave him the under pass all night, and most of the points he got were where he toasted them on the big play.
I liked for the most part, apart from a few plays how the defense played the game for us. They definately gave us a chance at winning. I mean holding the opposition to only 18 points w/ our offense should win you a game 9/10 times.

broke the first rule

It looks to me like Hank is panicking too much...almost trying too hard to make the big play and totally dominate, lighting up the opposition. This causes him to force the play, which is most likely not the right decision. (I think this main problem is the Stampeders O starting to believe their own hype, instead of working for it). When he's calm, taking what the defence is giving him, he's stellar...but that's not happening right now. I'm looking forward to see how he plays against Hamilton.

Scoring Winger

This is nothing new from Burris. Like I said in my predictions, Burris is either hot or cold - there doesn't seem to be a middle ground with him. It's one of the most frustrating things to watch him dominate and look unstoppable one week and look like a high school QB the next. Fortunately for the Stamps, 10-8 may win the west this year and that's close to the record Burris is likely to bring with his hot and cold tendencies.

I was pretty ****ed watching that play but I think what bothered me more was the copeland catch a few seconds earlier good catch and all but to me it looked like he didn't have to dive like that. If he doesn't dive and catches the ball he walks into the endzone, int never happens, and all might be well in the world.
for anyone who missed the catch or might want to review it again, it's at the end of the clips on stampeders.com. still looks like maybe he didn't have to dive but ya never know

^^I thought it was more a case of Burris overthrowing him which is why he had to dive.

How old is he? Is this the same Henry Burris that was a backup for the Chicago Bears like 15 years ago?

Hank is only 31. It was 4 years ago that he played for the Bears.
