Just turned on the game, that #40 for Cleveland who just got burnt on that McCoy long bomb TD pass had a "I'm gonna be in the CFL in 2 weeks" look all over his face afterwards.
EDIT: Now the entire Washington 3rd string secondary has the same look on their face on that Hail Mary conversation, wow. Fun last few minutes for a preseason game

Of course Bridgewater has looked great in the preseason and Johnny has been trash. Would have been the opposite if the Browns had taken Bridgewater. Cleveland is the ultimate QB graveyard, already feel bad for Jameis Winston or Marcus Mariotta or Brett Hundley or whoever they draft as QB next year. Without Josh Gordon that offense is going to be horrific at best.

It's been two quarters of playing time as he adjusts to a pro offense.
I'm not sure about him yet but way too early to write him off.

no fun league is so ridiculous. I love how NFL coaches and media types, who just love to play up how manly and tough everyone is, get all offended by a middle finger. Seriously? Do we really have to pretend to be offended by that? It's a sport where careers could end on any play, where guys risk their lives and future health to play a brutal, high speed sport. And they can't do things like dance in the end zone or spin the ball because that's poor sportsmanship.

			Yeah so overblown.
Had it turned around and got into a verbal yelling match with the sideline, saying much worse things, it would have been nothing.

 But give them the finger....outrage.

You can't see words immortalized on film unless it gets caught on a microphone so no one hears him saying that.

That finger? That's gonna be a clip replayed over and over again for the rest of the season at least. It gives people a latching point to bash and take Manziel down after deciding that was what they wanted to happen before he was even drafted.

			Two things
1. This is going to be the worst halftime show ever by a country mile, so bad it's time to eliminate it all together and bring back marching bands
2. I give the NFL till about 2022-2023 until they start shedding a lot of fans. Goodell is undoubtedly going to destroy the NFL in the pursuit of greed. Mark Cuban is going to be a prophet.

		| According to the Wall Street Journal (via SportsBusiness Daily), the NFL has asked the three artists under consideration for the Super Bowl XLIX halftime show to “contribute a portion of their post-Super Bowl tour income” to the NFL, or to “make some other type of financial contribution.” Per the report, the idea received a “chilly reception” from the representatives of Katy Perry, Rihanna, and Coldplay. |

Wait, so you're saying NFL fans care about the half time show of the Super Bowl? Not a chance, the half time show has been and always will be tailored to the NON NFL fans in an attempt to get them to care about the game.

They could book any act for that show and I'd expect less than 5% of all NFL fans to give a crap.

No...I'm saying greed is going to kill the NFL. That is a pure greed move, nothing more and nothing less. Goodell has shown time and again it's all about greed. That's what Mark Cuban said, and he's looking to be right eventually.
I could give a #### about the halftime show, thats the time to piss or make food. I care about Goodell ruining the NFL in pursuit of money, and that's something all NFL fans should care about.

Yeah that is brutal, how can you ask for a portion of their tour revenues.
Just a pure greed move by the NFL.

I would have loved to witness the echo chamber of a meeting when that idea was hatched up. That might the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen in sports business.

Seems odd, but the argument probably goes that there is a big boost to a band's revenue after performing in the Superbowl. Should they be paying for that exposure (free advertising to a large audience)?

I heard Phil Simms on NFL network radio today "admit" that he'd done what Manziel did "Hundreds of times" in his career.

I feel bad for the kid. I don't particularly like his persona that he's created, but the media attention (and some of it is his own fault) is enormous. It's Tebow all over again.

But there's a reason the NFL targets those acts in the first place ... because they're already big.

And the turf in the brand new $1.3 billion Levi's stadium is having issues. Clumps of it was coming up during practice and the team needed to relocate to a practice field outside.
