And you are lucky to have that. And I am not saying that women like that do not exist.
That being said, I can understand however how some dudes get pushed over the edge, and join these weirdo groups. I worked with a guy, that sucked on the business end of a shotgun over how he was destroyed financially and emotionally in a divorce that was the caused by his wifes infidelity, not his.
The defense was his detachment and work schedule drove her to do it, and it was his fault she slept around. But for them to maintain their lifestyle he had no choice. He was admittedly a workaholic, and wasn't a greatest partner, but because he was unwilling to seek counseling and try and salvage the relationship, the court split everything 50/50, including a paid off home he brought into the marriage, and only gave him weekends with the kids. He simply couldn't forgive the adultery as it was a former friend of his.
Somehow she was awarded alimony as well, to maintain her 'lifestyle' which included humping his friend in the bedroom he paid for. He didn't show up for work one morning, and we get a call from his brother 2 days later he blew his brains out.
With stories like that, you can almost understand how some guys get to this point. There is situations where guys get absolutely trampled by the courts. So I think you have to look at both sides sometimes and ask how someone ends up with fringe thoughts like this. It doesn't justify misogynistic views, but it can certainly shed some light on how a person can end up with them, be it right or wrong.

There is no-fault divorce in Canada so it's always 50/50, sorry. Lots of people have been destroyed by cheating spouses. Most don't choose to end their own life. Not to say I have no sympathy for your friend, because I do. But the decision to end his life was his and his alone.

That's why men should be encouraging women to go far in their career, and support them to no end to become CEO's! That way, when it divorce arrives, you get more in the end.

As a former divorce lawyer, I can say no one wins divorce cases, children don't belong to you, matrimonial property is shared equally, and you get to keep exempt property.
Happily, the trend in family law is towards collaboration, mediation and presumed shared custody.
In the old adversarial system, there were far more deadbeat men than women.

My parents weren't too happy when I decided to not get married. I was always the brunt of jokes from my late father when there were family events. They learned quickly it was what made me happy and no amount of jokes or badgering was going to change things.

It wasn't a friend of mine, more of an acquaintance, and yes, his reaction was stupid and extreme. Beyond reason. I was just putting out an example of a guy that was absolutely destroyed by a divorce and got the major short end of the stick. Some guys blow their brains out, some guys move to Montana, dress in full camo and live in a mud hut as a fully fledged Mgtow member like prime3333.

I thought this thread was going to be about Magic the Gathering. Turns out it's about a group that gets laid even less.

The stupidest thing about this thread is the notion men have ever had leverage in the first place.
Nothing; not even power, money or religion, has more control over men than a woman can. Give up the fight and learn to enjoy it kid.

Well we don't want bears around. I'm not paying the bear patrols tax, let the bears pay for that. I already pay the Homer tax.
