Can anyone confirm? I have my Canadian account, but it says Spotify Free , and I can't skip songs after X skips, etc. I tried the free premium 30 day upgrade, bu tit says it's not available...
Anyone else got Premium through their canadian acct?

Far as I know it is Spotify Free. The invites were for a beta release. They haven't actually released it to the Canadian public.

I find that the radio stations you can create is a great way to be introduced to music, if I like a song thats playing, I'll right click on the track and choose "start radio" and it will play music similar to it, sometimes it find me great new artists.
I find the whole spotify experience to be by far the best music service I've ever tried, and I think this will be a huge hit in Canada.

I love songza and google play music. I use Songza more for music discovery and Google play music all access for anything I actually know about and radio style playlists that combine my locker music and online music.
Google play all access has been great so far and I've subscribed to spotify through VPN before... worked fine for me... If songza would get integrated with play music (which seems likely at this point since they've been bought by google) it'll be perfect.

Same here. Signed up 2 days ago and received my invite today.

Is there no way to rate songs on Spotify, am I just missing it? I can see where I can thumbs up or down when I'm making a radio station, but not when I'm just playing a playlist.

Oh and they failed my toughest test, they don't have the Canadian cast version of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat with Donny Osmond. My search for a good source of that continues.

The mobile app is more annoying with free because you can't play an album or playlist straight, you have to use shuffle, so if it's a case of "Oh hey have you heard this song check it out" it's pretty useless. You can still skip but there's a limited number.
On the other hand used it for a block party so choose one of the summer party playlists and felt like a hero after getting a number of compliments for a great selection of music 
Will probably get premium.

I have been using Rhapsody for years for some mobile but mostly playing at home.
They have a great selection of music but their suggestions are terrible.
