Westboro Baptist Church to protest Robin Williams Funeral
The Westboro Baptist Church has announced plans to protest at Legendary actor Robin Williams Funeral. The funeral is to be held In San Francisco.Yhe event will take place at the Throckmorton Theatre in Mill Valley, California,# at some point over the next few weeks, though nothing has yet been finalised.#
I emplore any one within the Area to join counter protests that usually happen. Robin Williams has bring laughter and Joy to hundred of millions of people. It is now our turn to return the favor and let his love ones honor and lay this man in peace
They wont get within 100ft of the building. Their demonstrations are so pointless. There are now groups that follow them around and ensure they dont get within eye sight of any of their targets.
He portrayed a gay character in "The Birdcage", therefore (according to their logic) he is a corrupter of souls and should burn in hell.
Oh, the list is long with this one...
In addition to that, he commiserated with gays in The World According To Garp, portrayed a (foreign) demon in Alladin, practiced psychology (the devil's work to be sure) in Good Will Hunting, cross-dressed (gay!) in Mrs. Doubtfire, had magical powers (flying, which is also gay) in Robin Hood, played a godless ex-Communist in Moscow on the Hudson...
counter-protests just make them feel like they are getting somewhere.
The best thing we could do is ignore them (and have the media ignore them).
The point of countering them is to set up a human barrier preventing them to get close enough. Legally they are permitted to be right on the edge of private property and in the families faces on public.
I suggest reading through this thread. done by the nephew of fred phelps and is now an ex member. he shines light on their motives and thinking. the only way to get rid of them, is by understanding them.

do these people have jobs? Or how do they fund flying all over the place to various funerals and paying for protesting supplies? Or does the "church" pay for everything?
I'm sure I could spend 2 seconds of research to go figure it out but if anyone knows off the top of their head. Far too lazy to actually put effort outside this thread into learning about these "people".
Just seems like it'd be an expensive hobby. Also who is this passionate about stuff? Pretty weird.
