If that happens, I would hope the sabres will be kind enough to give Snow a cup ring or two for his contributions.

Since this is all hypothetical, If somehow the flames won the lottery would you consider trading down to third to grab one of the Dmen? I am thinking you could potentially get a Lindros type deal in that kind of draft.

Not in a million years IMO. Would you want Jack Johnson or Crosby? I would rather trade both the 2016 1st and 2017 1st for a stud dman then give up McDavid or Eichel.

Not at all. McDavid is ours, no trade backs.

No, you take a truly elite center.

God no. The bigger question would be do you take McDavid or Eichel.

What really catches my eye is the small forwards. On the future considerations site, 9 out of the top 30 are under 6', not to mention some really slight 6' and uppers. Top 10 looks enticing but looks like a lot of question marks after that. Can see people's excitement over the top 3 but after that is the field that much better than 2014?

This maybe one of best top 10's of all time, we'll have to see how the year plays out.

Imagine if Pittsburgh traded down for Jack Johnson just because they already had Malkin.

Me thinks they will have the first three picks.
 Baertschi+Glencross for LAs pick
 Hudler for Bostons pick

LA and Boston finish 2nd and 3rd last while the Flames are dead last

Way too early I know but for our purposes probably a top 8. Can't see us having interest in Konecny or Barzal due to their lack of size. Presuming we don't finish in the top three, the two Swedish dmen (Kylington, Andersson) and F Strome and Zacha look very enticing.

I think we will be in position to pick top 5 again. Would be really happy with the 3rd pick but obviously I would love to snag one of the big 2.
I trade Monahan or Bennett for D help way before I trade the McDavid pick if we had it

Other prospects will be moved for defence, you don't dismantle your core like that just to fill a positional need.

Yeah I don't want to proclaim anything, but the way this draft is shaping up it looks as though the top end talent is extremely impressive and deep. It's going to be an interesting year no doubt to see who rises and falls. The potential is there though to be a historic draft.

as i think the 2 below outcomes cannot co-exist, curious which outcome flames fans would prefer:1) Gaudreau has an amazing rookie year and wins or is nominated for the calder
 2) Flames get a top 2 lottery pick and select mcdavid/eichel
