Forgot to post the other day, but I was really impressed with my Cards in their first game.

I wasn't trying to compare Seahawks players' crimes vs. 49ers players'.

Was just stating the news.

BUT, it doesn't get much worse than assaulting a female (Lynch's alleged accusation at this point in time).

The precedent for that is two games now right?

According the NFL commissioner, yup.

Aldon Smith was arrested for DUI and possessing illegal weapons. He then VOLUNTARILY missed 5 games last year to go into a alcohol rehab program to help him with his problems. Aldon will still probably get 6 games (rumored).

Ray Rice gets 2 games for beating his wife.

Makes zero sense.

If Lynch did something anywhere near to what Rice did, he'll get more than 2 games given his past issues....just as Smith is.

All sorts of rumors, anywhere from Lynch pushing some friend of a friend to just taking someone's camera who was trying to take a picture of him and smashing it.

And Smith drove drunk at 7am to practice, and hit a tree. He didn't miss the game that weekend (nor did the 49'ers suspend/tell him not to play), and went to rehab only after that game...given his other issues with the law, firing illegal guns etc (and his bomb incident earlier this year), that's the way the NFL rolls.

Lynch has had his fair share of problems including his own DUI and reckless driving charges.

Sure Smith played in the game right after his incident but he then voluntarily missed 5 games to get himself help. I don't see very many players doing that. And I believe the gun charges was just the fact that he bought the guns in Arizona (which were legal in that state) and brought them back to San Fran (illegal in California) and thats where he got in trouble, he wash't firing off rounds into the sky or something like that.

The bomb thing was blown way out of proportion and was never proved he even did anything wrong, as is clear by the court case being resolved with no charges laid.

Lots of stupid players in the NFL and Lynch and Smith have both made mistakes, but at least Aldon has gone and tried to help himself, which is good too see.

He's gonna be a beast when he gets back from his suspension.

Danny Trevathan out 6-8 weeks with a knee fracture. Not good.

Johnny Manziel shatters NFL Network's preseason ratings record: 'Johnny Delivers'

http://www.cleveland.com/browns/inde...rs_nfl_ne.html

First, he became the NFL's top jersey-seller. Now he's shattering T.V. ratings -- and he hasn't even taken a real NFL snap yet.

Johnny Manziel's preseason debut in Detroit last Saturday blew away NFL Network's previously most-watched show by 36 percent.

When did the referee start giving penalty on player slam dunking the ball to the post after the TD?

yep. dunking now a penalizing offense. Jimmy Graham I think is actually to blame, due to bending goalposts and holding up games.

Browns on MMF tonight. Johnny has really put the spot-light on Cleveland. I hope he is not another Tebow.

Johnny's not ready, but he had no protection.

Defence could be very good.
