"Our Dream, We are coming to Calgary!", an update
Not really FOI material, but the original thread was in this forum and it's August, so I thought I'd share some news here.
Four years ago CP poster calgaryboy started the following thread:

Now it is my turn. He has been most insistent upon returning the hospitality I showed him. It was a pleasure to host Petr and Patrik, and certainly created no debt between us; nonetheless Petr has urged me to visit him so that he could return the favour.
Not that I need much urging to go to Europe!
So in four weeks I am off to Hodonin, Czech Republic. If someone has some idea of a unique, new, or cool Flames item(s) that I could take over for calgaryboy let me know. Maybe PM me, rather not have any surprise ruined.

Hi, it's always a pleasure to hear perspectives from Flames fans around the world. Since you're Czech, I am just wondering how did you become a Flames fan?

If I can suggest going against the jersey, I find being from victoria I can't get unique items. Day to day things with flames logos are awesome!

I just read the entire original thread for the first time.
Awe inspiring and totally amazing.
I'm not even ashamed to say I got teary eyed seeing their happiness in that Global video.
Aeneas, you are a phenomenal person. Kudos to all of you who were involved in giving them a warm welcome to Calgary. So cool.

You ´re right, Berlin is 257km from Teplice, Hodonin is 360 km from Teplice.......

Calgaryboy, my wife is Czech and grew up in Uherske Hradiste, which is about 40 km down the road from Hodonin. She has been to Hodonin many times.

UH is very near, been there of course many times. So best regards to your wife. She must be pretty, because all the nicest girls come from Southern Moravia in Czech republic
