I wonder if the KHL was reluctant to draft Rafikov as a potential North America flight risk.

I actually think Cundari's stock has fallen, and deservedly so. As an undersized defenceman he was already going to be hard pressed to make the show. Apparently though his 4 game stint with the big club was enough to convince him he was going to make the team last season. He came into camp completely unprepared and was immediately sent down. He then struggled with the Heat, enough so for the management group to consider him non-essential to the team's success.

Granted he did well with the Wolves and seemed to get his game back, but last season really hurt his stock as far as I'm concerned. TBQH I was very surprised to see him get a contract offer.

Hopefully he learned a lesson and comes to camp this year in the best shape of his life, but even then he'll be hard pressed to crack the lineup.

He is very under rated IMO. I understand he is liked by management and coaching staff. I am actually excited to see what he will bring to the table this year and hopefully he earns himself an shot at the big club.

And 2 games is enough to make a conclusion? And if you read the comment I was replying to, you'll see that this person claims Rushan hasn't been impressive. I was coming to Rushan's defense...?

What is with your annoying quirk to end sentences with a question mark?

He said who he voted for this round (Rafikov) over Roy, who he feels has defensive problems. You chose to interpret it the other way instead of checking the poll votes.

Considering Rafikov's matching up against names like McJesus, Reinhart, Ritchie, our own Bennett, MDC....yeah, I'd say that's a decent indicator thus far to garner an assessment.

IIRC it was questionable if Ramage was going to be signed out of college. He's still an okay prospect but we have better.
