Default What Happens When A Beijing Man Invites Women Into His Lamborghini?

http://www.npr.org/blogs/parallels/2...ntent=20140808

"You got in my car. Aren't you afraid I'm a bad guy?" the driver said.

"You ought to be a good person," the woman answered.

That scene is part of a video, a social experiment of sorts, that's been making the rounds on China's Internet this summer, and has struck a nerve in the country's ongoing debate over materialism and values.

In all, five of seven women the man approached got into the Lamborghini. One offered her phone number, unsolicited. Another invited him to her apartment.

Later, the same man made the same offer from behind the wheel of a small SUV made by Chery, a Chinese company.

Not a single woman accepted.

Perhaps lonely guys should stop paying for dating websites and just pool their money together for a time share on a lambo.

Shanghai girls are notorious for being golddiggers.

Would the results of this experiment be different in other cities around the world?

If some random person invited me to ride in their Lambo, I'm not going to say no.

If some random person invited me to ride in their SUV, I'm probably not going to accept unless I really needed a ride.

Re-do the experiment on guys!

Yeah, but everyone knows you're easy.

I don't think I would either way. I am far too suspicious of people's motives, especially when offering something for free.

But if a hot chick offered me a ride, I would probably go as opposed to an unattractive female.

I think men and women are both slaves to hormones. We just have different things that get them going.

From the article:
"Earlier this summer, a man drove around one of Beijing's nightlife districts trolling for women in an $800,000 Lamborghini convertible."

Lends little credibility to their "Results", pretty well cherry picking stats.
You could do the same on 17th AVE during stampede week in a jacked up pick up.

I had the same thought as photon. Who would be driving a lambo in Calgary? Most likely that owner is either an NHLer, an oil tycoon, or some famous actor in town for x reason.

I tend to believe so. This isn't my opinion (so please don't turn this thread into one of those threads) but a lot of Asian guys I know feel that Asian women (Chinese and Japanese in particular) are very materialistic. That said there are materialistic women all over the world but I doubt the percentages of women getting into the car with the stranger would be as high in other countries except maybe Russia lol.

What difference does that make? Those types of people can't/haven't committed heinous crimes in the past?

Not true. A friend owns one and is neither one of those. Just a car dealer.

Either way they are both poor examples lol as I surely wouldn't want my daughter getting into a car with one of those MOD EDIT: Removed, sorry. They may not get abducted but they will be forever tainted.

MOD EDIT: Having a negative opinion is fine but that crossed the line into defamation, and we've had legal threats from car dealers in the past.

Nope, he's a small time car dealer in Calgary. He buys wholesale and sells them on kijiji and other car sites.

A used Lambo only costs about 150k so it's not like only NHLers and oil tycoons can afford one and with how much people in Calgary make you are starting to see a lot of Lambos in Calgary.

This guy I play soccer against here in Calgary drives a nice black and red lambo. Looks funny in the parking lot at a soccer field at Frank McCool or Optimist.
