I'm really going to miss Peter. Big shoes to fill for whoever the Flames do hire.

Oh man, thought the same thing after hearing the youtube vid. Rocky IV was such an awesome movie for montages. The Rocky-Ivan Drago montage was epic!
If I can change, and you can change, everybody can change!

Wills doesn't sound bad at all...brings energy in his voice. Wouldn't complain if he was chosen.

Having Bob Cole call our games would be epically awesome!

Calgary has high expectations, as we should, when it comes to broadcasters. After having Ed Whalen and Peter Maher for sooooo many years, it's hard to compete!
That said, Loubardios and Kerr aren't terrible. I actually like Loubo a lot. Given that he hasn't been let go by rogers it's pretty clear he will be on one of the teams com fall.
I am very curious who will take the other spots. Talent in the booth is VERY tough to find!

Nothing against Curle but after Kerr I would hope they would go with someone more polished and Curle is still rough around the edges.

I'm rather sad if Loubardias doesn't get a PBP gig, but happy if he at least sticks around as colour.

I would be quite happy with a combo of Luobo as play by play and Kerr as colour commentary.

The child in me won't believe anyone can live up to Peter Maher, but as long as he's not one of those guys who goes silent when the other team gets a goal, or instead of saying "he scores!" he says "and a score!", I'm sure I'll get used to him.

Remember people Peter Maher was a beginner once too. He grew into this legendary status. Give the new guys a chance.

Rod Pederson insists upon himself! Sorry Fotze, stole your joke. Actually I think Cam Moon and Rod Pederson would be excellent candidates.

I'm starting to hear rumors as to who the new towel boy will be. Little Jimmy left some big shoes to fill.

15 years later, and still trying to find a successor for Ed Whalen. It's not an easy thing to try and replace a legend.

"In the mean time and in between time" truly has come to fruition. EW's was the first autograph I ever got. 1973. He stepped in front of Rudi Linterman, Jerry Keeling and Wayne Harris and they all had a good laugh.

Pederson is way to full of himself and way to annoying. He screams anytime the Riders do anything. And I am a Rider fan. He would be a terrible choice.

Best guy for the job is right under their noses in Loubo. But he is best utilized in a color role given his knowledge of the players.

I would be fine with him doing the radio but I would prefer a new voice for TV. I hate to be overly critical of a guy like Loubardias who is so passionate about hockey and a good guy but I didn't love his PBP as much as some of you as it's hard to explain but the pitch of his voice just isn't quite right with me at times.

Very knowledgable indeed. However, I find his delivery to be very measured and deliberate. I found him really annoying on the radio early in the season, but got used to him with time and have grown to like his role as a color man. However, I think because of his slow delivery, he would not be very good as a play by play guy on the radio.
