Mid-Sept? Ouch, that hurts. Be nice to get EE's bat back soon, hope he doesn't get hurt in his first game back.

They really, really need to speed up this review process. This is painful.

Just got home to watch Goins in an annoying AB leaving two in scoring position.

Melky plunked?
Jays plunk back?

Actually not a horrible AB. Came back from 0-2 to make it a 10 pitch AB. Bad luck in the inning as the run would have scored on the Rasmus double if it hadnt cleared the wall

And yeah Melky was plunked but unintentional

I think I just saw a Miracle. Gose first HR this year!

Commentators mentioning that he should bunt...

Didn't say horrible, just annoying...swatted at one nowhere near the zone and had a couple mistakes from the pitcher that he couldn't get around on properly and fouled off...then gets under one where he should be driving it down with 2 outs and guys on base.

Regardless, this game or next time, time for an unintentional severe inside pitch on Jones or Davis.

Is This J Happ or Jimmy Key! Crazy good game from him. Hope the Jays batters can pick him up here.

2 wins out of 7 vs Houston and Baltimore just won't cut it. 5 games back, tied with Yanks. When its Kawasaki on the bench as one of the only pinch hitters...well...

Great pitching performance wasted.

Happ was great. When your only run of the night is solely produced by Gose you're not going to win many games.

I wish the Jays would sell off guys like Buerhle and Reyes. We aren't going to win this year with the injuries. Use their 40+ million they are due for other things next year.

Nobody would take those guys at their peak contract years, only AA.

With Rogers, any proceeds would be clawed back in order to create a bunch of nation-wide glossy posters and tv commercials announcing their increased cell roaming rates.

It is frustrating because the lineup is just too weak, and not balanced at all - with all the injuries.
How many more wins would they have with EE, Lawrie and Lind or even 2 of the 3 in there?

Ugh. Two decades of this.

This year I let myself become more emotionally invested again.

Surely you jest.

This is MLB. Teams die to pick up guys with "potential" and claim them as reclamation projects. It happens year after year with high priced guys. Same in basketball. There's always dumb GM's out there who think they can turn around a players career. Buerhle is doing great and plays deep into games. They'd be no shortage of guys who'd line up for him. Reyes is a good player when not injured. Even at $18M or whatever, they'd be a handful who'd be glad to have the package he brings.
