What a brutal article name, I thought Galiardi showed some great flashes of brilliance, especially with Mony.

I almost think that's a shot at the Jets organization moreso than Galiardi, who is collateral damage here.
Fans/media have to be frustrated by their do-nothing, stay-the-course, incompetent boob of a GM. This is probably one of their only outlets to express their dissatisfaction.
But people are right, that shouldn't have been printed. Takes the objectivity out of journalism.
Sad thing for Jets fans is that he is an upgrade on their bottom six. Chevy must think that Olli and Setoguchi were the major problems (and replaced them with Galiardi and Perrault), as that's the only changes he's made (21 of the past 23 regulars are still on the roster). Sad state of affairs in the Peg.

Ouch. Galiardi wasn't great for us, but that is pretty brutal. He's still a guy that should be able to contribute to a NHL club. Especially the Jets.

Holy crap. If I was Galiardi I would consider suing for libel. I wonder…can you do that if it's true?
That journalist and editor should be embarrassed in a very public way. Horrible headline.

I didn't even know Galiardi put up 17 points. He seemed much more useless than that.

Is there anything in the head and deck of that story that isn't objectively true?
As in: he did only have 17 points, he was the Flames most frequent healthy scratch, the team didn't want to re-sign him.

Yeah, the headline is horrible but there is nothing in the actual article that is cruel or inaccurate. I guess they could have said the Flames had a good bottom 6 and this might help the Jets, but I wouldn't expect a Winnipeg hockey writer to be too positive about the do nothing Jets making another minor signing.

Galiardi had a bad on-ice shooting percentage and bad on-ice save percentage, so nothing went in on the offensive end while he was on the ice and a LOT of stuff went in on the defensive end.
Galiardi's better than his numbers. I think.

The article writer has absolutely nothing to do with the headline. Headlines are written by someone else.

Lawless is doing everything he can to dis-spell the myth that no free agent would want to play for the Jets. A headline like that should reassure potential NHL players that they will receive a warm Winnipeg welcome from the local media.
