Not exactly my kind of music, but she's pretty good. Always happy to see local artists find success. Better than most mainstream pop stuff today. I like the old school sound and music vid.

I heard Hideaway on Tiesto's podcast a couple months ago and was surprised to see that she's from Calgary when I looked her up. Great tune!

It's a shame that local artists like her don't get much airplay on radio here until they've had success elsewhere.

lol I'm not doing this in another thread. This isn't a mindless cheesy pop song. It's something that is significantly different then whats on mainstream radio now.

It's a great song and a pretty sick video considering it was one take.

According to her Wikipedia bio, not only is she a former member of the Young Canadians (of course), but she joined the Navy Reserves at the age of 17 and became a code-breaker.

That's not something I expected to see in her bio.

A friend of mine showed me the Hideaway Video when it first came out and told me she was from Calgary, at the time I was Cool Story Bro and didn't really care much for her or her music but I'm glad she finally gets recognized for her hard work.

No kidding. She's extremely talented and great at what she does and it's awesome when people from Calgary make it big. Problem arose when you inexplicably implied success is independent of her appearance, when of course it is not, as is the case with Bieber.
